On Becoming a Web2 Content Creator

IMG_0251.jpeg

Sometimes, the people close to us can see things in us that our perception of ourselves has not yet become clear on. Basically everyone in my life has been telling me to start creating content on Social media.
"Why?" I would ask. "You have a knack for it" They would say.
Well, I knew I would be good at it because shooting and editing videos is one of my many talents but I just did it for my own consumption and viewing pleasure.

Then I found Hive, and I immediately wanted to create here. Could because of the sense of exclusivity to it, in addition to the blockchain incentive but it just made sense for me to create and document my life here. So, I did that effortlessly. Notice how I didn't say consistently? Good, before you call me a liar.

Anyways, sometime last month for reasons best known to my higher self, I started posting on Tiktok out of the blue. Next thing I know I'm doing two to three posts on a daily. Most of them were just me dumping months old content that have been occupying space on my phone. Then I moved on to opening my camera and yapping. I became hooked and I received such positive feedback and engagement from complete strangers. What a confidence booster! 😁

It was super effortless and I didn't miss a day for about a whole month. It wasn't easy, don't get me wrong. Creating content has it's challenges but it opened my eyes to a whole new me. A me that could see and follow things through. It shifted the lenses through which I saw myself and this productivity trickled down to other aspects of my life.

I used to think I was awful at time management until I started creating content. Now I am in awe of how much I accomplish at a given time. For a creator time is as precious as storage space and I'm working mine with grace.

I will continue to share more of my Web2 content creating journey on here because Hive will always be my safe space and my OG content arena.

Hasta La Vista. Baby. 😘♥️

It feels very nice documenting on Hive, I love Hive for it. I also, understand how it can be difficult to stay consistent, but best part is, once we figure out we did not, that will help us put in our best. Those videos on TikTok has so much views, you are doing a great job on your contents creating journey.
