Visitng Vietnam for business trip

Hello guys, haven't make a post on here Asean for long time, as I mentioned in my last post here, I don't have much appropriate pictures related to south Asia that making me have nothing much to share here, but recently I have chance to do so.

My boss and me went to Ha Noi for business trip at Vietnam from 17 to 21 Aug as we need to find some factory there to produce products for us because the tariff issue from the US, looking for a factory there is an option for us instead of producing in China for just in case the tariff problem won't be solved in short time.

This is our very first visit in here Vietnam and to be honest there are too many uncertainty to us, say, if there many thieves whom will target us and steal our wallet, passport, etc? We really had concern about it.

Fortunately my boss knows some local guy here who can take us to visit factories so we don't have to grab a taxi on our own, that's really help!

We didn't walk around after we have done for factories visiting everyday as we still have concern about safety, most importantly we didn't exchange for their local currency, we only took some US dollars as we though USD is popular in here Vietnam, but sounds we were wrong, we can only spend USD in the large shopping mall and chain restaurants here.

End up my boss decided to having dinner inside hotel as we can simply pay by credit card.

I am going to share the street view at Ha Noi while we were on the way to the factories in Hoi Phong.

My impression to Vietnam is good, it's not as underdeveloped as people saying on the internet.

During the traffic jam I really want to get out from the car and take pictures in person but sounds it's too dangerous to get off at the busy road, so I simply share some street pictures to you guys before I fall into sleep by accident after having so many meeting with different factories.

Wish you guys enjoy my pictures during my visit. And hopefully I can come back here more often.

Visiting Vietnam for the first time must have brought a lot of new impressions, especially with the business side of your trip. Having someone local guide you was definitely a smart move, and your photos show an everyday view of Hanoi that many people don’t usually get to see. I’m curious-did you have a chance to try any local food during your stay, or was it mostly hotel dining because of the currency situation?

The friends of my boss took us to a very local street vendor for lunch, it was much better than I expected, and they treat us for the lunch, most of the time we had dinner in hotel or the Lotte shopping mall opposite to us

I can totally understand the concerns about safety and currency when visiting a new country, but it’s great that your boss had a local guide to help make everything much easier and safer.

这确实得找个当地的向导比较好,不然会 有点寸步难行,哈哈。

Yeah, definitely you should come back to explore more about Viet Nam, especially Ha Noi. There are many good attractions and good food there :))
