As I am back to HIVE for a few months sabbatical, my question is why HIVE looks like desert now. Most of the games I have been participating are dead or looks like desert.

Any idea what have happened in the past 6 to 12 months?

play to earn is a dead business model and basically a ponzi where new players provide exit liquidity for older players.
they will all die out eventually

There is a point that the gaming in general is kind of ponzi as you need player to fund it.

But I do agree that the idea of owning a part of the game and earning on it is sound better than it is usually executed.

However, the main point I was planning to raise is that when I left there was a quite a few active games, and a few which have been developed and now most of them are dead, and it does not look like there are any new ones.

no reason to.
We pulled all our games years ago.
Hive does not make sense to develop on

but have you moved to another web3 or have you dropped web3 ideas for games?

play to earn does not work on any web3 blockchain
there is a way to incorporate blockchain into gaming and yes we continue to work on this but
it has nothing to do with what you would call web3

Can you elaborate on using the web3 into games?

I have written and talked on this subject many many times.
Not going to go into on a thread
