Guiding Minds, Building Futures: The Teacher’s Role Beyond Academics
Hello Hive Learners Community! Welcome to my blog. Teaching is the profession taken by prophets and pious people in every religion. Its limitations and boundaries can't be confined in few aspects. I love teaching and like to learn from people. Being a Muslim, I believe!
"Seek Knowledge from the leap of the mother to the grave"
Yes, we learn, we implement and we must improve. This is the simple formula used by developed nations for centuries. Teaching is one of the noble deeds that not only keeps the Literacy rate high but also has the potential to raise the standard of humanity.

The Real Concept of Teaching
In a country where teachers are respected, their progress chart is seen to be sky-kissing. As we can't ignore the significance of knowledge, we have to accept the positive role of teachers. I'm a follower of Islam where our beloved Hazrat Ali R.A has said,
"My Teacher is my King and I'm his slave"
Yes, the teacher has the respect of a king. A king didn't need instructions for his public. Wherever he found something wrong, he made it right through thick and thin. This can be implemented in this era. If we are teachers then our responsibility is not only in the class. If our students are doing wrong outside the school, then we should intervene. We should learn this lesson about the good and bad deeds. They should reserve the right to punish if any student breaks the discipline outside the school. Yes, it is the secret to developing a good nation.

When I was a student at a school, I was frightened by my teachers even outside the classroom. It is our tradition that our parents permitted teachers to punish us if we are not doing well either in study or in ethics. There is no tolerance for the kid if he is making mistakes and his teacher is observing the whole scene. Anyway, when I was in 3rd Grade, my fellows and I were playing cricket on the ground. During sports excitement, I unintentionally used abusive words for my classmate. My classmate complained about it to my teacher. You will not believe, my teacher, after the investigation, not only punished me but also was angry with me for more than three days. I had to visit the home of my teacher, where I promised him not to use bad words against anyone and would not break discipline. He forgave me provided that I would prove it. The long story short, it was a hard job to maintain discipline for us, but I had to pass the discipline test under the teacher's observation. At that time, I was feeling bad, but now I feel proud of my teacher. If he would not punish me for these small mistakes outside the classroom then I would never progress in my life right away.

Final Thoughts
Everyone can be a teacher but no one can be a teacher in every aspect. Nowadays, teachers only teach students about the curriculum and often ignore lessons about the growth and discipline of their students. It is a very bad picture of education, believe me. A teacher should be a teacher outside the classroom as well. He knew very well how to teach humanity and ethics even outside the classroom. To give lessons and learn discipline, we didn't need a boundary. We only need a respectful manner and willingness from our students. If our teachers punish us for breaking discipline outside the classroom then we should not mind it. We should take it positively if we want to grow in our lives.

I agree that a teacher's responsibility doesn't end when the school bell rings. If a teacher sees a student going down the wrong path outside of class and says nothing, they're missing the most important part of their job.
The role of teacher is beyond the classroom and beyond academic, but also moral and discipline.
But when it comes to outside the school territory, the teacher should use their sense for their safety.
