Can Lahore Improve the Air Quality Index?
Hello Hive Learners Community! Welcome to my blog. Lahore is the heart and my resident City in Pakistan. It is well known due to its History, Culture, and Mughal Architecture in the world. Thousands of Tourists from around the world visit my city every day. Whether you are Christian, Hindu, Sikh, or Muslim, it is ready to impress you with heart-touching hospitality as well as beautiful Sceneries independent of your religion. Due to its enormous beauty and Capital Importance, it is over-populated. Like other big cities in the world, it is also facing myriad issues. Today, I'm going to reveal one of the issues. If it is resolved, then Lahore will shine on the world map.
Air Pollution And Lahore
For a couple of years, Lahore has been facing the worst air pollution. Its beauty started dwindling due to the bad Air Index. Due to heavy traffic, blind consumption of Chlorofluorocarbons, and depletion of ozone, we are facing extreme weather changes. The city that was once the most beautiful in Pakistan is now, has been ranked the first polluted City in the world.
In winter, the fog issue is enough to suffocate us. The government has failed to sort out this issue. Last time, they arranged artificial clouds for rain, but the issue was the same on the other day. We need to find permanent solutions for air pollution; otherwise, we can face the worst consequences. Many people are affected by airborne diseases, and their lungs are compromised.
The development in Lahore is the development of Pakistan. The government should act upon some of these steps if it is interested in doing something effective for the people residing in Lahore.
- Encourage people for Plantation
- Promote Consumption of fuels in the vehicles whose cracking has been done
- Ban usage of Chlorofluorocarbons in the AC, Refrigerators, and Chillers
- Chimneys and Bricks Manufacturing Companies should be transferred away from the Lahore
- People Should be educated about the harms of population explosion
Moreover, the government should start different projects regarding green Pakistan. It must start a plantation around roads. There will be a strict punishment system for those who break the laws on the roads regarding fuel. More plantation is main the thing that can make a difference in the air quality of Pakistan.
Final Thoughts
If you have visited Pakistan then you will be aware of Pakistan. Being the heart of the country, it has been a residence of many embassies. Moreover, its charm and beauty are well-known around the world. Different Parks increase their beauty. Its roads are always busy with traffic. Due to poor government policies, it has been facing air pollution for decades. The government's worst policies are the source of increment in pollution. Many Scientists from Pakistan have suggested a roadmap for plantation in Pakistan, but our government is not interested in taking this issue seriously. In the previous year, I was also facing respiratory issues. A city can lose its shine when air quality is bad. People love to reside where they can breathe in fresh air. I hope the Government of Pakistan will take different measurements for my city.

CFCs are rarely the cause of air pollution . The major contributors behind poor air quality is stubble burning, over production of smoke from vehicles and industries and urban heat. Curbing urbanisation and promoting green activities can be more effective.
