A Journey From Lab to Hospital, the Birth Of Our Friendship
Aslam and Munaza are University Fellows. Munaza is busy with the Benedict Test in the Chemistry Laboratory. Suddenly the test tube breaks while heating on flame. Some splashes of the reagents go into her eyes. Crying and Screaming start while Aslam is busy washing Petri-Dish. Finding her fellow in trouble, he left his job and went near to her.
"Munaza! What happened? I heard some sort of blast in the lab. Is everything fine with you?"
Munaza, whose one eye is closed while the other is blinking. Being a Shy Student, she was not comfortable responding, she encouraged herself to answer because there was no other option.
"Aslam! Please help me. Splashes from the test tubes have entered my right eye. Please help before I lose it"
He realized the situation was complicated. He didn't want any further delay, so he called the University Ambulance for help.
Ambulance Staff:
"Hi! I'm Junaid from the Punjab University Emergency Ambulance Staff. How Can I help you?"
Aslam:
"Hi! I'm Muhammad Aslam PG Student. My fellow is in an emergency condition. Please bring an Ambulance as soon as possible"
After 10 minutes Aslam Heard the sound of an Ambulance outside the lab. He holds Munaza's hand and goes to the Mayo Hospital, Lahore. I was praying for her. Her eyes were closed, and she was looking unconscious. The doctor, after an eye checkup, assured that the Patient was brought to the hospital before any irresponsible loss. Anyhow, he has given an injection to her, and she will come into consciousness soon.
I was waiting for when she would open her eyes. It had been 7 hours and I was looking at her face and towards God. "May Allah bless her with a fast recovery." These were the words, I was reciting there.
Suddenly, she opened her eyes and found me in front of her. She was trying to sit on the pillow but I stopped her because the doctor advised me that he had given Anesthesia. She needs more rest until the chemicals in her eyes are washed out. During sleep, I heard her murmurs,
"Aslam! Thank you So much for taking care of me. You saved my life. Thank you again for your prayers"
These words shone in my eyes. I was feeling comfortable inside me. It was the first time I helped a girl. I was happy because Allah Says in Holy Quran,
"A man who will save a single life, it is like he has saved the whole humanity"
After a few days when she came to attend classes, we like to spend many hours together. I don't know when this happens but she is now my fast friend. I can't spend a single moment without her.

You saved a life! That's so nice of you and as a matter of urgency, you did all you could in your power, still stayed with her during her recovery with prayers and emotional support. This act of kindness is enough to bring you both together and it's good to hear that you both are best of friends now
