Camtasia Mac doesn't natively support all AVI codecs. Convert your AVI to MP4 (H.264) first using a tool like HandBrake or VLC — MP4 is fully supported. Alternatively, play the AVI in a media player and use Camtasia Recorder to capture the playback. TechSmith support recommends converting unsupported formats to MP4.
