Sorry, but if I post a blog or a thread and people upvote it, shouldn’t I receive the amount in Leo that I see in the rewards for that specific post? What does delegating have to do with it?

No, upvotes on your blogs/threads earn Hive rewards (HBD/HP from Hive pool), not direct LEO.

LEO from posting/upvotes comes indirectly via HP delegation to @leo.voter—daily passive LEO payout (e.g., 0.135 LEO/day for 500HP) from curation rewards @leo.voter shares with delegators.

Post quality gets you upvotes → HP → delegate → daily LEO. No delegation = no LEO share.
