New year's Day well spent♥️

Happy New Year everyone. I wish you all a happy and prosperous new year. It's been a busy week for me. All the parties and dinners consume all my time and energy; that at the end of the day, I just want to crawl to my bed and sleep. I got the chance to go out on New Year's Day, but we felt too lazy to explore because of the heavy rain. We stayed in the park, bought food, and spent time there. Even though it's raining, there are still people roaming the place.

Foods we brought, it was like a potluck party with my fellow OFW's.

The sky is dark, and the rain doesn't have plan to stop. We stay on one of the covered benches in the park.

It's a big park where many people come here every time to unwind. If not for the rainy weather, I would see many people coming in and out. Some bring their bikes to roam around; some are jogging. It's also ideal for family to come and spend time together. There's a barbecue pit near the beach where you could host a party. (I didn't bother to take photos because I don't want to get wet). I've seen people before hosting a birthday party with friends and family. Not only that, I've also seen some wild animals roaming around before, like wild boars. If you see them, distance yourself and don't attempt to attract their attention; they are usually afraid of people unless provoked. There are also different kinds of birds, squirrels, monitor lizards, and many more. Again, I didn't get the chance to take their photo. I was lucky to click a picture of the bird when it flew near our place, but Its not clear though.

They are a couple birds, but I did not get to photograph them together. It looks like they are chasing each other. I've also seen native chickens roaming around. There are a lot of things this park could offer. It's more like a forest that was converted into a park. It's more on preserving nature. There's a bird-watching tower that you can climb and see the view. Aside from that, there are also many turtles in the pond. Some people are feeding it. They bring some bread to feed it. Even Though its a nice place and the view is refreshing, there are also a lot of mosquitos and what looks like small insects flying around. The rain just increased its breeding place that it multiplied. Even if I put on a mosquito patch, it didn't stop the flying insects from biting me. These mosquitos seems to upgrade, that even the patch cannot prevent them from coming.
Since the rain didn't stop, we packed up and left the park after staying for hours. Even just a simple meet ups and chit chats We were still happy to spend time together. We went our separate ways and headed home.
