[PL / ENG] Liz Moore "Bóg lasów"

Moim skromnym zdaniem pozycja dużo ciekawsza niż "Rzeka odchodzących dusz". Dużo się tu działo, a wszystko w otoczeniu mrocznego lasu. Książka budząca pewne odczucie niepokoju, wzruszająca, a zarazem mająca pewne cechy kryminału, bo chcemy poznać rozwiązanie zagadki sprzed lat oraz obecnego zaginięcia nastolatki podczas obozu młodzieżowego w lesie. To "teraz" też ma swój urok, bo jest to 1975 rok, a więc dochodzenie musi być przeprowadzone bez nowych zdobyczy technologicznych. Bardzo fajnie mi się to czytało. Jednak Chmielarz dobrze polecił. :)

In my humble opinion, this is a much more interesting book than "Long Bright River". There was a lot going on here, all set in a dark forest. The book evokes a certain sense of unease, is moving, and at the same time has some elements of a crime novel, as we want to discover the solution to a mystery from years past and the current disappearance of a teenager during a youth camp in the forest. The "now" setting also has its charm, as it's 1975, so the investigation must be conducted without the aid of new technological advances. I really enjoyed reading it. However, Chmielarz gave it a good recommendation. :)

W śledztwo angażuje się młoda policjantka Judy Luptack. Stopniowo odkrywa sieć tajemnic i napięć między rodziną Van Laarów, mieszkańcami miasteczka i pracownikami obozu. Czy zdoła poznać prawdę o tym, co wydarzyło się wtedy, i odkryć, co dzieje się teraz?
