PRAISE-EXPLOSION-SHIP is a new movement taking over the Philippines, and it is very explosive, pardon the pun. If you like noises, bright lights, and shrapnel, this might very well be the spiritual movement you have been searching for your whole life.
Spiritual knowledge is like a bomb, and in this case it is literally a bomb. During the sermon this preacher occasionally detonates small amounts of C4 and TNT to keep worshippers on their toes and paying attention to the Almighty's message. BOOM!

Most people think of India when they think of ascetics and other forms of religion or spiritual based renunciations of the material world. You certainly don't foreign citizens taking up this lifestyle in Thailand of all places, more often a destination for hedonists.
THAILAND'S FOREIGN HERMIT lives on only a single can of beer, some clothing and a hammock, that's all. Legend has it he has been sipping this beer since the early 1990s, but yet it continues to refill on its own, defying science and all known natural laws.

GANGSTER ROADBLOCKS are becoming more and more common in the Philippines, but so far it hasn't hurt tourism because the government is trying to keep it a secret. Extortion is now commonplace, especially on narrow roads and bridges where it is easier to box someone in.
In the case of these folks, do they want your money or just to say hello for the camera? Their intentions are unclear, but honestly you should probably just check out the post and decide for yourself. Don't the let the smiles make you drop your guard though.
