November 11th, 2023Β Β Β We've rocketed past 100,000 HP in delegations not from my family members, and our community continues to grow slowly and steadily. With this milestone came some announcements and rule changes, and the post about this is still pinned in the community as I type this text. There are now monthly HBD Savings rewards for DIAMOND, PLATINUM and GOLD members, not quite as competitive as curation APR, but our community savings account is growing rapidly and so are the monthly earnings.
Β Β Β This week Gabe pulled a back-to-back win in the raffle, the only repeat winner. Our native curation HP is now over 10,000 HP and I am still powering down everything above this and converting it to HBD for our savings account interest earnings. The curation strategy is now a bit different also because I have plenty of HP to give several $1+ upvotes per day, that's all thanks to the delegators.

How The VIP Delegator Raffle Works
Β Β Β Every raffle I tally the total HP delegated to the @asean.hive curation account, and one raffle ticket is allocated for each HP delegated by you ASEAN Hivers (excluding [me] @justinparke, @srey-yuu, @sakana & @sreypov), with a minimum delegation of 50 HP to be eligible for the ASEAN Hive VIP π₯ BRONZE Raffle.
Β Β Β There are five separate raffles, one for each VIP tier, and each tier's prize is a post beneficiary status equivalent to the tier's total percentage of raffle tickets allocated. This means the percentages of each tier's share of the prize is fluid, and I think it makes the raffle more fun and fairer.
Β Β Β This week's total effective HP is 149,796, and total delegated HP is 137,285 HP (101,545 HP minus ASEAN team member delegations & delegations under 50 HP), so I plugged the numbers into my Raffle Picker iOS app, selected "pick winners," and the results were instantly and randomly calculated.

Wow! I think I really need to work really hard to earn more HP and join this raffle!
Every single HP delegated is used to support SE Asian content on Hive, but I have many more ways I reward delegators in addition to this raffle. There are also daily footer raffles in the curation posts, monthly HBD Savings rewards for delegations above 500 HP, and more to come....
For now, my first goal is to have 500 HP. I have less than 350 at the moment.
So far I'm not earning that much here, but it's gradually growing. Hmm.. unless delegating part of my HP will help my HP grow as well...
I may be over a year here, but there are still lots of things that I need to learn in this community. Any suggestions?
I agree, 500 HP is a good goal to reach before worrying about delegating anything. With 500 HP you can upvote your post commenters and have a bit of a savings account in case you have problems in life and need some money. I also like HBD Savings because the interest rate is good and you can access your funds within 3 days, much faster than the 13 weeks it takes to power down all HP.
One simple recommendation I may offer is to read/comment/vote on 10 posts for every post you publish because this will help to drive other Hivers to your blog and also increase your rep score quickly.
