September 16th, 2023There was some delegation activity this week, and also @gooddream broke his losing streak. The raffle odds have been seemingly stacked against him lately, and after finishing this post I decided to do 5 just-for-fun raffles between @davidke20 and @gooddream. Looks like his bad luck streak isn't over yet because he lost 5 in a row to the Dave. I suspect Nadi of having bitten the creator of the raffle app, and somehow this must be cruel revenge.
The one and only @semarekha upped her delegation to a whopping 2,200 HP, @kriang3teejoe bumped his delegation to a staggering 2,007 HP, and @mdakash62 came on as a new delegator with 25 HP, not enough to be eligible for this raffle, but enough to be eligible for the daily footer raffles and inter-community engagement upvotes.
Okay folks, that pretty much sums up this week's highlights. Since this post is a day late, we might as well keep moving and see who won what. The delegators make this community go round, and I have a surprise for you all when we reach 100,000 HP in delegations that don't come from my family or myself. Hint, it includes HBD Savings as a reward mechanism, so stay tuned for that and let's keep on moving down this post.

How The VIP Delegator Raffle Works
Every raffle I tally the total HP delegated to the @asean.hive curation account, and one raffle ticket is allocated for each HP delegated by you ASEAN Hivers (excluding [me] @justinparke, @srey-yuu, @sakana & @sreypov), with a minimum delegation of 50 HP to be eligible for the ASEAN Hive VIP 🥉 BRONZE Raffle.
There are five separate raffles, one for each VIP tier, and each tier's prize is a post beneficiary status equivalent to the tier's total percentage of raffle tickets allocated. This means the percentages of each tier's share of the prize is fluid, and I think it makes the raffle more fun and fairer.
This week's total effective HP is 147,768, and total delegated HP is 135,414 HP (99,600 HP minus ASEAN team member delegations & delegations under 50 HP), so I plugged the numbers into my Raffle Picker iOS app, selected "pick winners," and the results were instantly and randomly calculated.

These are always fun for me. It doesn't matter to me if I win or not, it is just a lot of fun regardless.
I enjoy it for the similar reasons. I do hope to soon figure out a way to make things a little more fun. I'd love to build some kind of physical raffle contraption with local Cambodian village supplies, but for now I'm focused on trying to get the whitewater duck racing going.
Everything is on hold for now because we had a landslide near the cabin. I've been busy hammering wood scraps into the hillside to create a redneck retainer wall to shore things up until we can get two weeks of no rain, then we'll get 10 truckloads of dirt to fill in the collapsed areas and hopefully establish some bamboo and other trees during this year's dry season.
I really hope that this does in fact end up happening.
As for the landslide, I was wondering why you had gone dark and weren't posting at the moment. That sounds like a very serious thing.
I'll be back on it soon, that is one of many things that's been keeping me away from Hive. Thanks for checking in on me.
