Vapes: The Hidden Danger for Indian Teens

avatar

As of right now 96% of Indian teens don't even know that vapes are illegal and they use them feeling like thats an healthier alternative to cigarettes. And that's exactly the problem. They look harmless, like candy. But one vape can contain as much nicotine as 40 cigarettes. The sweet vanilla or mango flavor, it may be releasing diacetyl, the same chemical that gave popcorn factory workers a rare, irreversible lung disease, now called popcorn lung.

Still think it's harmless?

A 17-year-old cheerleader in the US developed permanent lung damage just from regular vaping and that is just one example out of many.

And here in India, even though they're banned, vapes are everywhere. Sold under the counter, online, even through Instagram DMs. What started as a quit-smoking tool has quietly turned into an addiction trap for teenagers. Sleek, flavored, easy to hide. Many say it helps them relax. But studies link vaping to anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and mood swings.

If you're a parent, this is your sign. You should talk to your kids, help them quit. And if you want to have a fuller life with your childrens then please help them quit this Modern Day Addiction.
