Let’s Choose the Healthier Cheese Option

When it comes to choosing Oil, Ghee or Cheese I feel like Cheese is definitely the healthier option out of the lot but it depends as to what type of Cheese are you choosing for yourself as there are indeed some Cheese in your local supermarket that is not so healthy as it looks.

Let's choose healthier cheese options from the supermarket annd that can be done by avoiding cheese like cheese slices, cheese cubes, cheese spreads and cheese blocks from commercial brands as almost all of them are highly processed. Check the ingredient list and you will see a long list of preservatives, starches, emulsifiers. These are not supposed to be in cheese and that definitely makes these cheese way less healthier in my opinion.

So which Cheese to pick?

Avoid cheeses with high carbs and added sugars. Check the nutrition content which is labeled behind every packet. Cheese should only consist of fats and protein. The carbs should be mostly used in the fermentation process. Go for cheeses with less than 2 gram carbs per 100 grams.

Look for unprocessed cheese with simple ingredients that should be there in real cheese like milk, salt, culture and microbes. Opt for cheeses like feta cheese, cheddar cheese, mozzarella, bocconcini, real cream cheese and parmesan cheese. Even these mozzarella and cheddar grated blends are a good option.
