So when I was in therapy a thing my therapist reccomeneded for me for goals is to make them around things I can control.
Hence my goals on hive tend to be more "Read and comment at least a few times a week" and "post at least once a week" (Neither of which I've done every week but most weeks so it's a win) rather than 'Get X amount of votes" (which honestly isn't a great metric anyway) or "Build up X amount of vote power'
sorry to hear you've had so many setbacks though. i think a lot of us are feeling that. Between the economy being a mess in a lot of places and life just happening, it's rough.

I totally agree that it is much wiser to not worry about the things we cannot control... like a broken world, broken down cars, leaky roofs and so forth!
I would say my own ambitions at this point have been dialed back to "whenever I can find the time," which sadly is nowhere near as often as I could wish...
