Combo challenge : Anyu, bulkhead and Elise makes victory!

This weeks community engagement challenge is all about killer combos on the battlefield. Since I've already talked at least a few times about the absolutely fantastic synergy between Elaise Max Pruitt and Commander Slade I decided I should focus on someone else. Preferably from the new card set since there are some fantastic cards in the mix. Here's the exact challenge prompt

Here's a link to the post so you can see all the other fantastic posts folks have written. There's a lot to learn from other Splinterlands players. -> https://ecency.com/hive-13323/@splinterlands/splinterlands-community-engagement-challenge-combo-chronicles
The combo I'm going to be talking about is Anyu Huntswomen, Saltwraith Bulkhead and Elias Max Pruitt.
He's also versatile since he's both life and water splinter.
I especially love to play him in the armoured up rule set as that makes the armoured strike that much more potent. And the weak magic rule set since that means that +1 armour protects units from magic.
Last but not least we have the Saltwraith bulkhead. This is one of the new rare reward cards. With four attack, six armour, and 9 health they are a tank in and of themselves. The four speed is also great. They do have the downside of exhaust meaning that sometimes they just...don't do anything. given this guys lore I imagine them just being like "Nah I'm eating. You guys go ahead." I love playing them in the back to basics rule set as it removes that downside. However all that armour and attack, for seven mana is worth the risk in lower mana matchs. Plus what's the fun of playing without some risk right?
The Strategy
The strategy with these three is Anyu Huntswoman guarding the front, and giving reach to bulkhead whose got armoured strike and piercing. Which means they're doing massive damage, with Elias' buff he's got 5 attack and 7 armour, that's 12 damage. If they don't take a snack break. In a lower mana match that will tear through the ranks.
So lets see the battle I'm using to show these three off.

Here's the rule set

22 mana, so not a ton to go around. Fog of war means no one can sneak around the back, and weak magic means they have to go through armour if they're using armour. Fire, earth and life are active.
Here's the opening line up.

I've got the three I've talked about and halfling refugee because I had one mana left and why not.
So my team is
Archon - Elais
tank - Anyu Huntswomen
position 2 - Wraitborn bulkhead
position 3 - Halfling refugee
The opponent went for more smaller units.
Archon - Brewmaster - gives fire and earth. Which is a solid choice since they're two of the three archons. He also only costs 3 mana leaving a lot more open for units.
Tank - Halfling refugee. - Not a terrible choice since they have decent attack, speed and health.
Position two - Drybone hobgoblin. -Also a solid choice due to the decent speed, 2 attack, and reach.
Position 3 - Ironwing Juggernaut.- The charge ability means it'll be able to attack regardless of where it is. exhaust means it might not bother.
Position 4 - Portly cannoneer.- +1 melee damage for allies. Pretty great card. Just not sure why they put it there. With fog of war it would have been safe at the back.
Position 5 - Harlaran huntress - Flying, charge, 2 attack, and they're fast. Solid choice.
Postion 6 - Ujuruk Elder - I actually didn't realize this guy gave +1 health to allies since this is the first time seeing one at lvl 4. Def understand this choice. The divine shield also means they'll be able to take some hits.
Time to see how this shakes out.
Here's how it looks when all the buffs are up.

I was very worried since if my wraithborn bulkhead took a break in the first round I'm sunk.
But they don't, and between Anyu and Bulkhead, their two front liners are down.

I get lucky and their Ironwing Juggernaut does nap. Sometimes luck is on my side. And this is one of those times.

Then the Portly Cannoner misses, and the elder hits. Another reason to love high speed units. They don't get hit as often.

Then my Bulkhead once again, doesn't fail me and takes out the ironwing.

At this point I'm feeling good. Anyu still has 1 armour and 5 health, so will be there for at least one more round, and she's the only one whose taken a hit.
The reamining units do 4 damage to Anyu, and the Bulkhead takes out both The cannoneer and huntress. Leaving the elder on their own.

The bulkhead, then deals with them.

I will admit I got lucky with this fight since my wraitborn bulkhead didn't exhaust once in four rounds.
Thank you for reading! I hope you enjoyed it, and maybe learned something.

Ooh that's a risky line-up, with the exhaust but no guts, no glory. Well done!
It's probably part of why my win rate is just above 50 percent though :P
