I’ve been gone for a little time due to visiting my friends and family overseas. It was a lot of fun, I loved every bit of that trip. Our connection flight happened to be through Dubai and it was a pretty long layover. Maybe one of the longest I’ve ever had.

So my husband planned our trip and connections perfectly fine at the beginning. Only later we found out that our second flight which was through Dubai got canceled and we had to find any alternatives. That’s pretty much how we ended up walking all day in Dubai Mall until our 3 am (!) flight.

I’m so thankful that our kids did so good, and were able to wake up to move from the lounge area to our gate. We were exhausted already before even our 15 hour flight began. Which was our second flight on that day. Thanks God it was safe:-)

Well, enough about our flight and the hardships we had. Let’s get moving to the fun part of our time in Dubai.

As you probably all remember, Dubai Mall is one of the largest and most famous of shopping malls in the whole world! So that means you can find anything you need here.

They have famous American fast food places, other international cafes, and world known Jamie Oliver’s restaurant.

There are a lot of kids’ stores like Lego, candy shops and much more.

I can’t imagine any better place for shopping to be honest. As for me I didn’t buy anything big here. Kids did some activities though, since we had all day walk.

We ate some local pizza here for lunch and some Krispy Kreme doughnuts, one McDonald kid’s meal, and got some sweets here and there. Well it’s not that cheap I should say.

This was my cup holder f tea to try stay awake. I think other moms would understand how tea or coffee helps us to last throughout the day:-)

At the end of the day we wanted to see a fountain show, but it ended before we came out. It was really hot outside, so that I didn’t feel like waiting for another twenty minutes till the next show. So we just took a cab to the airport.
