RE: HIVE ANNIVERSARY and COMICS

You are viewing a single comment's thread:

When I look at coments vs votes it seems to me that people are scrolling looking at the thumbnails and voting not reading anything. or maybe just have autovoting set up or something. but a couple thousand votes over the last two blogs should equal more than 2 or 3 legit comments. and btw, not one new sign up on the newsletter like I requested in the first few sentances. so....in the end is it worth me being here? don't seem like it

Hive has various issues. The automated voting means that you can earn without people seeing your posts and I'm sure many people want the engagement. It is also a small audience of just a few thousand and it may be that few of those see your posts. I have done what I can to promote the comics I've found here, but we really need to reach more fans. I know some artists have promoted Hive elsewhere and it has helped to fund some printed editions.

You can ignore the spammy comments from someone who managed to piss off the wrong people. Freedom means they can keep doing this.

There are some pretty active communities here around other topics. We have a lot of people from parts of Asia, Africa and South America.

I've been here through the ups and downs. We've lost a lot of users for various reasons and failed to recover from that. I still believe that Hive has something to offer. I find some of the big platforms very frustrating and have quit some of them. We can do what we want here, but we have to build our own audience.
