SMASh # 305: Kids' Playground | Capital Park

The sun is out, the sky is clear, and the breeze is cool.

It's a great time to be outdoors. We decided to spend the morning at the park and take advantage of this opportunity. It's the outdoors season in the UAE!

And when there is sun, there are shadows! Yay!

I decided to share some more photos from this day-out for Shadow Hunters Community SMASh Contest- Round 305. It was a bright day, and it gave a beautiful lighting effect to my photos, which I will put here as they are -- not edited.

I noticed that there was a faint smell of paint around. They have recently repainted the playground amenities. Even the benches were refurbished as well.

This playground is for the smaller kids. There is a bigger playground for bigger kids at the other side of the park.

While the kids were already in the big kids' playground, I stayed back here to get some more pictures. I am kinda stoked with this one. I think I nailed it!

The parallel shadows from the bars, and that diagonal shadow on the yellow square opening of the tunnel -- just perfect!

So this will be my entry for this week:

The sun was already shining so bright at this time that I think I was the only one left in the area. Most parents and kids had moved towards the center of the park where there were more trees to take cover with.

Coming to the playground, I am reminded how big my kids have already grown, and I cannot stop it anymore. 😅 One day soon, they won't appreciate these playgrounds anymore -- where they used to always ask to go. Now, they won't go it unless I initiate the trip. It also reminds me to be more present for them, to listen and let them know that I am just here for them no matter what.

For now, I'll cherish these moments. They are not kids forever.
