**Hello Hivers! **

Today, I would like to share how we celebrated Family Day in my daughter’s alma mater.

Our family is looking forward to this event. My eldest daughter, Sandy, is so excited since she’ll be showcasing her talent through singing and dancing.

As parents, we are happy to see our daughter excited for school, not just with academics but with extracurricular activities that build friendship and teamwork.

With my baby in her carrier, and my other hand holding the food, I did manage to walk fast to the school grounds. The yelling and shouting signalled to me that the cheering squad was ongoing.

I could still remember the parents and teachers with their proud smiles as they watched the students perform.

One of the highlights of the day is the traditional Filipino games such as Chinese garter, where children jump over the garter as its heights increase gradually while the game's level up.

After the games, there were also talent shows. Their performances showed not only their talents but also their confidence and creativity.

After the activities, the most awaited part was the potluck feast. Everyone is excited to taste the dishes lovingly prepared by each family. There were Filipino dishes like adobo, pancit, barbecue with vinegar as sauce, etc.

There were lots of sweets and served desserts, which showed that Filipinos have a sweet tooth.

We ate together, and the kids gathered together while eating on the ground.

The parents were chit-chatting, taking pictures, and laughing at each other's stories. My daughter’s classmates were so amused by the baby that they babysat her while I was eating heartily.

This kind of community strengthens the spirit of teamwork and togetherness.

I looked at my daughter, tired yet smiling. I can feel that she’s thankful for this kind of event when her own family supports her every step of the way.

We left her school feeling happy and grateful for this event. We are also looking forward to next year’s event. This kind of event is so precious in the eyes of the families.
