Card Day: Celebrating my daughters hard work, sleepless nights, and personal growth

Hello hivemates!

How have you been?

I hope that all is well.

Today, I'd like to tell you about Card Day in my daughter's school.

It’s one of the most-anticipated and special events for both parents and students in the Philippines.

This is a good way for the students to be rewarded with their academic excellence.

Not only that, but this is a reflection of the months of hard work and persistence.

I looked forward for this day because I’m excited for what awaits.

My daughter told me that she did her best, so I was anticipating something good to happen.

I was so excited the moment I stepped on the school grounds, I walked and looked around. I saw the Scientian students moving around with excitement on their faces while they were with their parents.

It’s like a small win for them that their parents could witness the awarding ceremony and how they did well at school.

I took a picture of the school grounds, which are very spacious and beautiful.

It is very cool and refreshing. The big trees are giving shade to the students who are at that time chit chatting, doing their projects and busy with their homework.

I love how the cool air touches my face like welcoming me and saying, "Please come in and witness today’s event".

I also took a picture of the place where they wash their hands with pots and a beautiful mirror, which caught my attention because of it's very traditional design.

As I walked, I ran into some parents I know, and we exchanged our greetings and smiles. We are here for one purpose, and that is to witness our kids unlock another milestone, sharing each one’s small wins.

My daughter welcomed me into her room with happiness. She’s smiling like keeping a surprise for me. I responded with a big smile, too.

Then came the most awaited part. The adviser called my daughter’s name and announced, “With honors!”

I reminisce about how her hard work paid off. It reminded me of her sleepless night, tedious school projects, and endless meetings for their research had paid off.

But that’s just one of the surprises. While I walked in the hallway, one of the drawings looksfamiliar. One of the artworks posted on the wall was made by my daughter. I enjoyed looking at it because I know it’s her personal expression.

We left school with gratitude. Seeing my daughter grow in almost all aspects made me so thankful for the teachers, friends, and the environment that make her thrive.

After her small win, we headed to the mall to have a little celebration.

What about you? What’s your small win for today?
