Our Holiday Hike to Masapak Falls Where We Found Peace and Serenity

Dearest Gentle Hivians,
Let me bring you to a hidden majestic place in Ebarle, Josefina, Zamboanga del Sur, Philippines. Whenever a holiday takes place in our country and there is no upcoming deadline in the university we are enrolled, we tend to go somewhere serenity and peace exists.

The Masapak Falls.
Masapak Falls is one of the highest waterfall in the province of Zamboanga del Sur with a height of 393.7 feet. Going here was not easy! The trail we took was a cliff and the only thing that kept us safety are tree roots and branches. We could compare ourselves to monkeys just to reach the waterfall alive and whole.

After conquering the cliff, we went down into the river in between the two high mountains at the most bottom of the cliff, and I was a bit scared because if something happens to us, no one could ever find and save us.
But we got there safely and as our eyes slowly catch a glimpse of the cascading falls until we are standing in the front of the Masapak Falls, all the fear went away and exchanged with awe and amazement. It was so so so beautiful! And it caught my heart and soul.
We had our lunch while looking at the tall scenic waterfall, hearing the music of the water kissing the ground, and the flowing water in the river . It was one of my favorite lunch I ever had.

Do you wanna experience the Masapak Falls?
Let me guide you the way! If you are from Ozamis City, Misamis Occidental or from Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur, you must ride a bus going to Molave, Zamboanga del Sur, and the traveling time is 1 hour up to 1 hour and 30 minutes. From Molave, you will ride a van or a bus for Dipolog City, but you will only stop in the highway-crossing to Ebarle, Josefina. Then you can walk from there to the falls and maybe you can also hitch vehicles on the way if they are nice enough to give you a ride.

But I highly recommend for you to have a motorcycle because you can just ride the vehicle until the road-end. The distance of the falls from the central Municipality of Josefina is estimated to 25 kilometers and the travelling time estimated to 34 minutes. You will left your motorcycle at the dead-end of the road, then you can take the cliff as a trail down to the river, and follow the flow river until you reach the waterfall.

As the water reaches the bottom, it creates a great splash everywhere and the wind on the Masapak waterfall's feet is something a man cannot stand because of how strong it is. Being here feels like we were in another world where everything feels peaceful and serene. The beauty of Masapak Falls is indeed wonderful and amazing. It stands upright like nothing and nobody could touch it. It looks so strong like nothing could ever stand straight near it except the green mosses who are forever grateful that they have grown beside this strong beauty, benefitting to every splash and drop. The mosses too, grew strong and brave as they resist the unresistable blow of the wind. This wind is created due to the height of the waterfall, that as the water reaches the bottom, the water and wind reacts, the surrounding mosses and grasses celebrates, and everything coexists together in harmony.

This is us, together with my friends and my partner. Our team tend to go somewhere we could find adventure and beauty. Travelling and hiking is our rest. “Money will come back, but the time will never”, so as long as you could, do it now. Travel like never before. Do it scared, do it broke, do it while you're young, do it no matter how old are you now, just do it now. There is no other right time you need to wait to start, now is the right time.
And this is our blog for today. Thank you dearest Hivians. See you in our next blog!
