This is Why I Purchased a 2nd Alpha Vial (to Support HoloZing!)

Almost 7 months ago, I purchased my first Alpha Vial.

Alpha Vials are the first asset created and sold by the (still in development) game HoloZing, and they contain a variety of items that, one day, will be usable in-game to begin our adventure.

Each Alpha Vial costs $20 – unless you're eligible for a discount thanks to the 2023 Advent Calendar event – and, although they can't be opened yet, they still allow you to accumulate ZING, since a portion of the daily emitted ZING is distributed to Alpha Vial holders.

But beyond that, Alpha Vials have another benefit: they directly support the development of the game.

The revenue from the sale of these items is used to push the game forward, helping pay developers, designers, and others involved in its creation.

HoloZing is an ambitious project that aims to bring to life a universe filled with creatures and deep mechanics, with the goal of offering many hours of fun to its players.

From its very announcement, it’s been clear that HoloZing wants to be a game first, and that’s something I personally really appreciate and consider essential for a game to succeed.

Doing this, however, requires a major effort, because it's not easy to build a real game while also incorporating play2earn mechanics, where players own their assets and those assets hold value that the game must, in some way, preserve — even if the primary focus remains the gameplay.

So, to offer my small contribution to this effort, I decided to purchase a second Alpha Vial.

As I said above, this is the simplest and most direct way to give financial support to the dev team. And since I want to bet on the success of this game – which would be a great thing for Hive! Imagine if it managed to replicate the success of Splinterlands... – today I removed two-thirds of the liquidity I was providing to the ZING-SWAP.HIVE pool and used the proceeds to complete the purchase of a Vial.

My share in the pool dropped from 0.205% to 0.067%.

Likewise, my rewards decreased, but they’ll be offset by owning a second Vial.

If everything remained the same – which is unlikely – it would take me 500 days to bring my investment in the liquidity pool back to previous levels… but as I said, my primary goal is to support the game’s development, not to make a profit.

On that note, I’ll also mention a comment left by @acidyo under a post by @libertycrypto27, where the game’s Founder highlights how it’s important to remember that the amount of ZING distributed to Vial holders is expected to change once they can be opened.

It’s still unknown when that will happen, but for me, it was another reason to carefully consider this purchase and ultimately realize that what I really wanted was to offer support...

... and if, in the end, I somehow end up with more ZING than expected, well, all the better! :)

Questo è il Motivo per cui Ho Acquistato una 2° Alpha Vial (per Supportare HoloZing!)

Quasi 7 mesi fa ho acquistato la mia prima Alpha Vial.

Le Alpha Vials sono il primo asset creato e venduto dal gioco (ancora in sviluppo) HoloZing e contengono tutta una serie di oggetti che, un giorno, sarà possibile utilizzare ingame per iniziare la nostra avventura.

Il costo di acquisto di ciascuna Alpha Vial è di 20 dollari - salvo che non abbiate diritto a qualche sconto grazie all'evento legato Calendario dell'Avvento del 2023 - e, anche se ancora non possono essere aperte, consentono comunque di accumulare ZING, dato che una grossa fetta degli ZING che vengono emessi ogni giorni è distribuita ai possessori delle Alpha Vials.

Oltra a questo, tuttavia, le Alpha Vials hanno anche un altro vantaggio: supportano direttamente lo sviluppo del gioco.

Il ricavato dalla vendita di questi oggetti viene infatti utilizzato per far progredire il gioco, consentendo, ad esempio, di pagare gli sviluppatori, i designers e le altre figure che si occupano del suo sviluppo.

HoloZing è un progetto ambizioso che punta a dare vita ad un universo ricco di creature e con meccaniche profonde, con l'obiettivo di fornire tante ore di divertimento ai suoi giocatori.

Fin dal suo annuncio infatti è stato chiaro che HoloZing vuole essere prima di tutto un gioco, e questo è qualcosa che, personalmente, apprezzo molto e che ritengo sia essenziale per consentire ad un gioco di avere successo.

Fare ciò richiede però un grosso sforzo, perchè non è facile creare un gioco vero e proprio ed al contempo coniugarlo con le meccaniche dei giochi play2earn, in cui i giocatori possiedono i propri assets e questi ultimi hanno un valore che il gioco deve, comunque, in qualche modo tutelare, anche se il focus principale sarà sul gameplay.

Ecco quindi che, per fornire, nel mio piccolo, il mio sostegno a questo sforzo ho deciso di acquistare una seconda Alpha Vial.

Come dicevo sopra questo è il modo più semplice e diretto per dare un sostegno economico al team di sviluppo e dato che io voglio scommettere sul successo di questo gioco - che farebbe un gran bene ad Hive! Immaginate se si riuscisse a replicare il successo di Splinterlands... - oggi ho rimosso due terzi della liquidità che fornivo alla pool ZING-SWAP.HIVE e ho utilizzato il ricavato per completare l'acquisto di una Vial.

Il mio share nella pool è così calato dallo 0.205% allo 0.067%.

Allo stesso modo sono diminuite le mie rewards, che però saranno compensate dal possesso di una seconda Vial.

Se tutto restasse uguale - cosa improbabile - mi occorrerebbero 500 giorni per riportare il mio investimento nella pool di liquidità ai valori precedenti... ma come ho detto la mia intenzione è in primis quella di supportare lo sviluppo del gioco, non realizzare un guadagno.

A tal fine segnalo anche un commento lasciato dallo stesso @acidyo sotto un post di @libertycrypto27, nel quale il Founder del gioco sottolinea come sia importante ricordare che l'ammontare di ZING distribuiti ai possessori delle Vials sia destinato a cambiare nel momento in cui sarà possibile aprire queste ultime.

Ancora non si sa quando ciò avverrà, ma per me è stato un altro motivo per riflettere con attenzione su questo acquisto ed arrivare alla conclusione che ciò che volevo, in realtà, era fornire supporto...

... e se poi alla fine, in qualche modo, mi troverò anche ad avere più ZING del previsto, be', tanto meglio! :)

Io vorrei vedere il gioco in azione, anche solo in versione alfa: se il gameplay sarà divertente allora anche secondo me il potenziale sarà davvero elevato!
