As The Market Suffers, so We Do
The title of this post turned out a bit strange, but all in all, I don't mind it, so I'll keep it as it is 😂
When market go red, people usually say it is "suffering," but the truth is that it's us investors who are suffering as we watch the value of what we own plummet.
In recent days, we've seen HIVE drop back below the psychological threshold of 30 cents, and of course, this has also dealt a hard blow to all assets revolving around Hive.
Among them is Splinterlands, where the SPS token held up well, while the cards - at least in my case - felt the hit more, seeing their value drop.
In a way, this aligns with what usually happens to my Splinterlands assets, which I’m not sure will ever give me the satisfaction of increasing in value without immediately dropping afterward 😅
The good thing, though, is that, as I've said many times - which is a good sign because it means my strategy isn't changing - on Splinterlands I'm currently just enjoying a sort of passive income. So, if values drop, at least I know I haven't wasted my time: that's already half a victory.
So, let's take a look at how my assets have "suffered" over the past month, as always distinguishing between cards and tokens.
Cards
Using Peakmonsters, the value of my cards is currently around 143 dollars.
Last month, the value of these same cards was about 163 dollars.
20 dollars less. On the other hand, things went well last month, so I guess I'm not surprised that this month things went the opposite way.
Even my income from renting cards is down: 40 DEC per day is really low, and I sincerely hope to see this value return to previous levels soon.
Tokens
When it comes to my tokens, however, things are better—much better: I'm pleasantly surprised!
Currently, the value of my tokens amounts to 64.26 dollars.
Last month, their value was 63.66 dollars.
60 cents more? In a market that's going further and further down? Well, it might not be much, but if I don't take pleasure in small wins, I won't see many victories, so yes, I'm happy 🤣
Good, but not great
Last month, I was hoping for a greenier market: I'd say it turned out quite the opposite.
This month, I don't want to hope for anything. I'm just glad that at least one of my two assets has maintained its value.
I still have some expectations for the cards, which I hope to see fulfilled when the new Conclave Arena set arrives.
In the meantime, I’ll keep following my path, renting out everything I can and simply hoping not to see the value of what I own go further and further down.

Come Soffre il Mercato, così Soffriamo Noi
Il titolo di questo post mi è uscito un po' strano, ma tutto sommato non mi dispiace per cui lo terrò così 😂
Quando i mercati vanno in rosso in genere si dice che stanno "soffrendo", ma la verità è che a soffrire siano noi investitori che vediamo il valore di ciò che possediamo colare a picco.
In questi giorni abbiamo visto HIVE scendere nuovamente sotto la soglia psicologica dei 30 centesimi e ovviamente questo ha dato un duro colpo anche a tutti gli assets che ruotano attorno ad Hive.
Tra questi c'è quindi anche Splinterlands, dove il token SPS ha retto bene il colpo, mentre le care - almeno per quanto mi riguarda - hanno accusato maggiormente la botta, vedendo il loro valore calare.
In un certo senso questo è in linea con quello che in genere accade ai miei assets su Splinterlands, che non so se mi daranno mai la soddisfazione di aumentare di valore e poi non calare subito dopo 😅
La cosa positiva però è che come ormai ho detto tante volte - e questa è una buona cosa, perchè vuol dire che la mia strategia non cambia - su Splinterlands in questo momento mi sto limitando a godere di una sorta di rendita passiva, per cui se i valori calano, quantomeno so di non aver sprecato il mio tempo: già questa è una mezza vittoria.
Andiamo quindi a vedere come hanno "sofferto" i miei assets nell'ultimo mese, distinguendo come sempre fra carte e tokens.
Carte
Utilizzando Peakmonsters il valore delle mie carte risulta attualmente pari a circa 143 dollari.
Il mese scorso il valore di queste stesse carte era invece pari a circa 163 dollari.
20 dollari in meno. D'altra parte il mese scorso era andata bene, per cui immagino di non essere sorpreso che questo mese le cose siano andate nel verso contrario.
Anche la mia rendita derivante dal noleggio delle carte è in calo: 40 DEC al giorno sono davvero pochi e spero vivamente di vedere questo valore tornare presto ai livelli precedenti.
Tokens
Se guardiamo ai miei tokens, invece, qui le cose vanno meglio, molto meglio: sono piacevolmente sopreso!
Attualmente il valore dei miei tokens ammonta infatti a 64.26 dollari.
Il mese scorso il loro valore era invece pari a 63.66 dollari.
60 centesimi in più? In un mercato che sta andando sempre più giù? Be', sarà anche poco, ma se non mi accontento di soddisfazioni ne vedo poche, per cui sì, sono contento 🤣
Bene, ma non benissimo
Il mese scorso mi auspicavo di vedere un mercato più pimpante: direi che è andata tutto il contrario.
Questo mese quindi non voglio augurarmi niente, sono solo contento che almeno uno dei miei due assets abbia mantenuto costante il suo valore.
Sulle carte ripongo poi un po' di aspettative, che spero di vedere esaudite il giorno in cui arriverà il nuovo set Conclave Arena.
Nel mentre continuo sulla mia strada, noleggiando tutto quello che posso noleggiare e sperando semplicemente di non vedere il valore di ciò che possiedo andare sempre più giù.
