Liquidity Pool, Staking Rewards and Swapping VOUCHER for DEC
On Splinterlands, my investment activity is made up of several parts:
- I rent out my cards to generate passive income in DEC
- I keep my SPS staked to earn staking rewards in SPS and VOUCHER
- I periodically convert DEC into HIVE, hoping that one day — if HIVE rises in value — I’ll be able to buy back much more DEC
- I monitor a small position in the DEC-GRAIN liquidity pool
- I perform cross-chain arbitrage between SPS and DEC tokens and their versions on Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain, Base, and Hive-Engine
- I periodically publish updates on Hive about my strategies and their performance
Some of these activities are more profitable than others, like posting or renting out cards, but all of them contribute to growing my investment in Splinterlands or Hive.
My main goal right now is to preserve the value of my investment in the game, hoping for a future increase in the price of HIVE that will allow me to reinvest the profits in new cards and SPS.
One day, I’d like to have a passive income from Splinterlands high enough to rent all the cards needed to play in a good Modern League — at least Gold. Then, I’d like to find a scholar and entrust them with playing, so we can share the rewards earned.
This is still just a theoretical possibility, since many things would have to go right for it to actually happen, but I believe that paying proper attention to all the parts of my Splinterlands strategy is a good way to do everything I can to make it possible — at least within my power.
Liquidity Pool
Among the things I check periodically is the performance of my tiny investment in the DEC-GRAIN liquidity pool.
My initial investment was 2000 DEC, which today equals about 1200 DEC and 84k GRAIN.
The position is therefore in profit, because if I were to reconvert everything into DEC, I’d end up with just over 2300 DEC.
Lately, I’ve been wondering whether it might be worth investing more DEC into this pool, since the first 2000 DEC were just a test — a test that I can now consider fully passed.
Staking Rewards
Claiming staking rewards is another of those tasks I try to remember to do roughly once a week.
My SPS holdings aren’t huge and they’re slowly approaching 11,000 — still, it’s a first step toward my goal of reaching 20,000 staked SPS.
VOUCHER and DEC
The last thing I do during these checkups is convert the VOUCHER I’ve accumulated into DEC.
My current strategy is therefore to:
- accumulate DEC
- then convert it into HIVE
- wait for HIVE’s price to rise so I can buy back (more) DEC
Aside from SPS, which I always stake because I also have goals to reach there, I’m mainly focused on accumulating DEC as quickly as possible.
These small activities may seem minor, but over months and years even small results can add up and significantly contribute to achieving much bigger goals.
Not only that — doing these activities helps me monitor my Splinterlands position… and gives me inspiration for new posts!

Pool di Liquidità, Ricompense da Staking e Conversione di VOUCHER in DEC
Su Splinterlands la mia attività di investimento si compone di diverse parti:
- noleggio le mie carte, così da generare una rendita passiva in DEC
- mantengo i miei SPS in staking, così da ottenere ricompense da staking in SPS e VOUCHER
- converto periodicamente DEC in HIVE, così da poter un domani - si spera - poter riacquistare molto più DEC quando il valore di HIVE salirà
- monitoro una piccola posizione nella pool di liquidità DEC-GRAIN
- effettuo degli arbitraggi cross-chain fra i token SPS e DEC e le loro versioni presenti su Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain, Base ed Hive-Engine
- pubblico periodicamente su Hive aggiornamenti sulle mie strategie e sul loro andamento
Alcune di queste attività sono più redditizie di altre, come la pubblicazione di post o il noleggio delle carte, ma tutte contribuiscono a far crescere il mio investimento su Splinterlands o su Hive.
Il mio obiettivo principale attualmente è quello di cercare di conservare il valore del mio investimento sul gioco, sperando in un futuro aumento nel valore di HIVE che possa consentirmi di reinvestire i profitti generati nell'acquisto di nuove carte e SPS.
Un giorno, infatti, mi piacerebbe avere una rendita passiva su Splinterlands abbastanza elevata da consentirmi di noleggiare tutte le carte necessarie per giocare in una buona Lega del Modern Format - almeno la Oro. Vorrei poi trovare uno scholar ed affidare a lui l'attività di gioco, così da poter condividere le ricompense ottenute.
Si tratta di una possibilità ancora solamente teorica, perchè devono andare bene tante cose perchè possa effettivamente verificarsi, ma credo che continuare a prestare la dovuta attenzione a tutte le parti che compongono la mia strategia su Splinterlands sia un buon modo per fare il possibile perchè ciò accada, almeno per quanto è in mio potere.
Pool di Liquidità
Tra le cose che periodicamente controllo c'è quindi l'andamento del mio piccolissimo investimento nella pool di liquidità DEC-GRAIN.
Il mio investimento iniziale è stato di 2000 DEC, che oggi equivalgono a circa 1200 DEC e 84k GRAIN.
La posizione è perciò in profitto, perchè riconvertissi tutto in DEC mi ritroverei con poco di 2300 DEC.
Un dubbio che mi sto ponendo ultimamente è se possa valere la pena investire altro DEC in questa pool, visti che i primi 2000 DEC erano solo un test, che ormai posso considerare pienamente superato.
Ricompense da staking
Anche fare il claim delle ricompense da staking è una di quelle attività che all'incirca una volta a settimana cerco di ricordarmi di fare.
I miei SPS non sono tanti, ma piano piano si stanno avvicinando agli 11.000, che è comunque un primo passo verso il mio obiettivo di arrivare a 20.000.
VOUCHER e DEC
L'ultima cosa che faccio durante questi miei controlli è quella di convertire i VOUCHER accumulati in DEC.
La mia strategia attualmente prevede infatti di:
- accumulare DEC
- convertirlo poi in HIVE
- attendere un aumento di prezzo di HIVE per riacquistare (più) DEC
A parte gli SPS, che metto sempre in staking perchè anche lì ho degli obiettivi da raggiungere, per il resto mi concentro solo sull'accumulare DEC quanto più velocemente possibile.
Queste piccole attività sembrano fare poco, ma nel corso dei mesi ed anni anche piccoli risultati possono sommarsi tra loro e contribuire, maniera anche in maniera rilevante, al raggiungimento di obiettivi molto più importanti.
Non solo, svolgere queste attività mi aiuta a monitorare la mia posizione su Splinterlands... e mi fornisce spunti per scrivere nuovi post!

Anch'io vendo tutti i voucher e porto dec in hive... Ora hive è un po' risalito, potresti riconvertire
Dopo controllo quanto ci guadagno a convertire ora, ma ho bisogno che sia un guadagno consistente perchè abbia senso, per cui se è solo 2/3k DEC mi sa che continuerò ad aspettare...
