Chicken Steak with Potato Chunks

Today, I'm going to share the dish I cooked for our dinner last night.
It was a simple "Chicken Steak with Potato Chunks."
Let's take a look at how I did it.
Chicken Steak with Potato Chunks

INGREDIENTS:

- Chicken breast or fillet
- Potato
- Garlic
- Onion
- Lemon
- Soy Sauce
- Sprite
- Garlic Powder
- Ground Pepper
- Paprika
- Knorr Liquid Seasoning
- Salt
- Canola Oil
- Magic Sarap Seasoning
- Cornstarch and Water for Slurry
PREPARATIONS:

Wash and clean the chicken thoroughly. Strain, then marinate the chicken in soy sauce, Sprite, lemon juice, ground pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
Set the marinated chicken aside for at least 30 minutes.
Wash and peel the potato, then cut or slice it into chunks.
Peel and wash the onions, then cut some of them into small pieces and also cut some into rings or round shapes.
Crush and peel garlic, then slice into small pieces.
Set them all aside with the rest of the ingredients.
COOKING TIME:
Heat some canola oil in a pan, then sauté potato chunks until golden brown. Take them out and transfer to a plate.

Add a little amount of canola oil, then lightly fry the marinated chicken. Transfer them to a plate after frying and set aside.

With the remaining oil in the same pan, sauté the garlic for a few seconds, then the small cut onions until aromatic. Then add the lightly fried chicken. Sauté them for about 2 minutes.
Then add the sauce from the marinated chicken. Let it simmer for a few seconds, then add Knorr liquid seasoning and 1/2 cup of water.

Continue to simmer for a few minutes. When the sauce reduces a bit, add a small amount of Magic Sarap seasoning and a pinch of salt to taste. Cover the pan and continue cooking for a few seconds, then add the slurry, mix it well, and then cover the pan again and cook for a few minutes or until the sauce reduces and thickens.

Then add the ring or round onions and fried potato chunks. Cook for only a few seconds.


And there it is, all done.
Our yummy and appetizing chicken steak with potato chunks. Anyway, it's not common to add potatoes to it, but my family really loves potatoes in a dish, especially like this recipe. We really enjoyed our meal.
