Exploring the Aroma of Spices and Traces of Aceh's History at the Aceh Museum
Hi Hivers friends, come on, follow me for a walk to explore the ACEH MUSEUM to see various traces of Aceh's history in the past. Upon arrival at the Aceh Museum which has an iconic building in the form of an Acehnese traditional house in the main yard of the museum, now I see there is a map information board about this museum, and the building I chose to explore today is the permanent exhibition building which contains various historical objects left by the people of Aceh in ancient times.
Upon arrival at the PERMANENT EXHIBITION building on the history of Aceh, I immediately went inside and was immediately greeted warmly by the Museum staff.
At this time I was in front of a room full of history called "AROMA SPICE JEJAK HISTORY OF ACEH", at a glance from the outside I looked into this room, there were lots of rubbish and objects that were often used and traded by the people of Aceh in ancient times. .
Here I saw a table designed in a classic style with wooden material painted brown. I saw here various typical Acehnese spices such as coriander, manjakani, candlenut, cumin and very typical tea.
Then I also saw a plate of areca nut which was used by the people of Aceh in ancient times as medicine.
Then here we also display several spices used by the people of Aceh for medicine and also those used for funerals.
Frankincense is a fragrance used on corpses before burial.
Likewise with camphor.
Rice
These are Agarwood and rattan.
Then here there are also spices in the form of various types of oil and dry ingredients, such as cinnamon, cardamom, Ie Juk vinegar, star anise, nutmeg oil, sandalwood oil, eu cold oil and clove oil.
This place for arranging various kinds of spices is decorated very nicely so that it looks very aesthetic and pleasing to the eye.
Apart from being rich in spices, the Acehnese are also famous as great traders in the past, there is even a map here that shows the great shipping economy in Aceh in the past.
There are various kinds of spices traded in Aceh, such as nutmeg, pepper and cloves.
Here there are also several typical Acehnese silk fabrics which are traded throughout the world.
Here I also saw several elephant tusks and a sack of coffee which may have also been traded in the past.
Then here there is also an artifact in the form of an ancient book and book with Arabic writing in a glass.
And the ancient artifacts on display in this room made me very interested in exploring this room because there are several very beautiful ceramic barrels and ceramic plates imported from abroad.
The getongs and plates on display here have motifs like very beautiful Chinese carvings.
Just exploring this museum for one room has made me very happy and happy because I can see every trace of Aceh's beautiful history from the past, today that's enough for me on my very enjoyable journey, see you in the next travel post.
