Opinion of Israelis on the war. "Marching into the darkness to fight monsters" and winning
I've written a number of posts that express my opinion on the Gaza war and some might think my positions are extreme or do not represent the view of many Israelis.
This is not the case.
My views, including that no aid should be provided to Gaza during wartime, and that there are no real civilians in Gaza are completely mainstream in Israeli society. These views are based on the absolute facts on the ground as experienced by hundreds of thousands of reservists from all parts of Israeli society.
Israel is unified like never before.

Key take outs:
- 82% want the IDF to conquer Rafah despite US opposition
- 81% think the IDF does enough or too much to protect Gazan "civilians" - 19% say the IDF is doing too much because there are no real civilians in Gaza. This is my position.
- 66% think the Israel should not allow aid into Gaza until hostages are released, of which 22% say no aid during wartime (again this is my position).
- Only 21% think Israel should take President Biden's views into account.
- 81% want the war to continue.

Hundreds of thousands of Israeli citizen soldiers like Naftali Hazony are "marching into the darkness to fight monsters" and winning.
Israelis are unified, absolutely capable of and utterly determined to wipe out the evil ideology that led to Oct 7 and change the Middle East and the world (by force where necessary) to achieve this.
We are no longer prepared to sit defensively and live with terrorism.
We are going on the offensive, not just tactically in Gaza, but strategically over the long term.
The level of commitment, skill of our soldiers, the capabilities of our military and the support and unity of the society for the justice of this war against the most evil of enemies is at a level never before seen in human history.
Nothing, including weak kneed backtracking, interference and virtue signalling by supposed allies like Canada, Australia, the Biden Administration or much of the EU, is going to stop Israel defeating Evil Incarnate.

We can understand you're upset, but what we rewards is the user's activity on the Hive blockchain, not the content or ideas the express. On the latest, we try to stay neutral as the goal of our project isn't to moderate the platform.

If Israel wanted all the Gazans dead they would have all been turned to ash on Oct 8.
It would be far easier than achieving the lowest civilian casualties of any urban battle in history and providing humanitarian aid to the enemy in wartime (something no other country has done).

Oppressor, oppressed are suitable labels. It's only the oppressor who denies that they are. If you find the term oppressor offensive, then a little self reflection is in order.
No censorship is great but when it means that people can post nazi propaganda and such, then we need to call it out. No censorship means that you cannot censor the responses from good folk either. In a censorship free zone, it is up to the participants to censor the violence and hatred that you post and I'm sure I'm only the first of many. I'm even rewarding folks who support Gaza, Congo and Ukraine and all of those other places who are suffering opression with at least 10 Hive. I put my money where my mouth is. That's democracy!
As for Woke, these terms proceeded that movement by decades, if not centuries. Personally, I think that ts awesome that many people now have a voice who have never had one before. Anyone who is uncomfortable with it will go the way of the dinosaurs.

Israel won all its past wars despite far worse international isolation and arms embargoes from actually important (at the time) countries (like the US, France and others). Only the Czech Republic would supply us arms in 1948 and we had little domestic production then. We still beat 5 Arab armies.
Today Israel produces a huge range of war-winning weapons which are best in class and are essential for Europe and others to defend themselves against Russia and other threats. Israeli natural gas is essential for Europe and Egypt. Its water (Israeli desalination tech) and gas is essential for Jordan's survival.
Israel's high tech is essential for the US and Europe to maintain competitiveness against China and Russia.
There has not been a single practical action of any substance against Israel by any country which had diplomatic relations with Israel before the war. None.
Even in Turkey, were Erdogan engages in the most vile anti-semitic vitriol, it is business as usual including allowing Azeri oil to be transited to Israel via Turkish ports.
Why? Because Israel is a major arms supplier to the Azeris who are a a Turkic people and close ally of Turkey but in a war with Armenia.
Also because any real actions against Israel by Turkey would lead to Israel actively supporting the Kurds (who are 20% of population and have 4x the fertility of Turks) in their goal of an independent Kurdistan. This would break Turkey up.
The people of Israel are supposed to the "a people set apart".
Israel is far more powerful than you understand and people and countries that curse Israel will be cursed as those that bless Israel will be blessed. This is Biblical prophesy is a self-fulfilling statement of reality that has been true for over 3500 years.
Hate for Jews and Israel is self-destructive to those that engage in it.
Whereas love for Israel and Jews brings enormous benefits both personally and materially.

Biden and the Democratic Party will be destroyed at the ballot box in November because the vast majority of Americans support Israel.
Israel is winning on the battlefield, economically and most importantly, demographically.
Given current fertility rates and trends (which are very hard to change), Israel will be the only advanced nation in existence in 100 years. All other civilisations (West, East and Islamic) are falling because of the simple failure to have kids.

Jews fought all sorts of enemies, often against huge odds, and defeated them including the Greek Empire and even Rome for a time.
Judaism is the source of the moral principles of traditional Christianity that made The West great (and have now been perverted and abandoned causing Western Civilisation to fail and fall). But we ALWAYS had to fight evil enemies to preserve them and the same is true today.

I am living on land that has been continuously inhabited by my people - the Jewish People - for 3500 years and was given to us directly by God.

The Gazan Arabs are descendants of Arab invaders and Hamas sees itself as the spiritual successor to the invading Islamic Caliphates.

My fight for the the liberation and recognition of the Kaurna, Peramangk and Ngarrindjeri people is well known locally. Glad you did your research.
It's all the same struggle. Liberation of colonised and oppressed people. My people illegally and imorraly colonised Australia and now some of the descendants of those invaders are doing what we can to support.

You couldn't be more wrong. Gazans had complete autonomy and used it to create a vast military base to murder Jews.
The land of Gaza is part of the historic homeland of the Jewish people. The Gazans are all refugees who are Arabs (ie from the Arabian peninsula).
The Arabs are the invaders and Jews are the indigenous people of The Land of Israel including Gaza and Judea and Samaria (what you call the West Bank).
