I've cancelled my witness - Please change your vote

After many years of having the honor of being a Hive witness, I've decided that running a witness server is not for me, as I have too much going on to be instantly on-call to fix things when they (to often) go wrong.

My lifestyle, religion and commitments mean I have periods when I am unavailable for multiple days at a time and this is invariably when something goes wrong with my witness server.

This happened during HiveFest and when I was travelling for weeks thereafter.

Then last week when I was super busy away from my main computer I got this.

To all the Hiveans who have voted for me over the years, THANK-YOU!

If you are looking for somewhere to move your witness vote I suggest @brianoflondon & @techcoderx. They have the skills, time and right mental approach to be keeping servers running reliably over the long term.

I'd much rather spend my Hive time posting content.

Thanks for all you've done over the years. Sorry to see you go but happy for you to be nmaking the best choice for you. I will check out the witnesses you recommend.

Sorry to see a Hive Witness go. I just recently got into running a Hive Witness, it has been a month but I have upgraded my witness from v1.27.7 to v1.27.8 to practice restoring a witness from a snapshot. I certainly enjoy tinkering with this kind of stuff :)
