The world is changing. Are we keeping up with him? (6pics)

This is a post to go with #WednesdayWalk challenge by @tattoodjay.

Hello, friends. Today my walk took place in an unusual place.
In the evening, after sitting in the office, I went to the Leroy Merlin construction hypermarket.
This hypermarket appeared in our city in 2016, but times are changing, the world is changing and in March 2024, the Russian Leroy Merlin changed the name of the legal entity from Leroy Merlin Vostok to Le Monlide. At the end of 2022, the French ADEO Group, which owns Leroy Merlin, decided to stop financing the Russian division.
In Moscow, the sign at the hypermarket has already been changed to "Lemana PRO", but in our city, the sign has not yet been changed.

But I wanted to tell you about something else. I wanted to say that back in 2009 there were greenhouses in this place and tomatoes, cucumbers, roses, and other flowers growing in them. The Krasnogorsky State Farm pleased the residents of Kirov with its products every year. Usually in early March, the first cucumbers appeared in shops and in public canteens. But the world has changed in the shops of the city, as in other stores in Russia, fresh cucumbers began to lie on the shelves all year round.
The location for the greenhouse complex was ideally chosen, it was located next to a thermal power plant that provided heat to the entire city and therefore the greenhouses were always heated. But this was in Soviet Times when there were no private enterprises and no one considered the profitability of production and profit.

Until 2010, the Administration of the state farm was located in this building and there was a canteen for state farm workers on the ground floor.
In the summer of 1990, I and my 5 fellow students at the institute were building the foundation for a garage cooperative near this place, and for 2 months we went to this dining room, hoping to have lunch. These were very interesting and fun years in quotes. There was little food in the cities. We had to look for her. The cook in the dining room told us that he would feed us after feeding all the state farm employees. We had no choice and sometimes we didn't get any food.
Today I left my car in the parking lot of the gigamarket and decided to walk to the very garages that we were building. But I didn't see them. New warehouse complexes have appeared in that place. Yes, the world is changing. The garages are gone.

Yes, there were greenhouses here once and people, mostly women, grew agricultural products. I must say that the townspeople preferred to buy cucumbers and tomatoes grown in these greenhouses, rather than imported from other places.

This is the Maxi gigamarket, which appeared in this place on March 1, 2021. At the moment, this is the largest shopping and entertainment complex in our city. On weekends and holidays, the parking lot is fully occupied. I prefer to come here on weekdays and then as an emergency.
A curious fact, today I saw an old bus stop named "Greenhouse complex". The bus stop is no longer in operation, buses do not stop next to it. The greenhouse complex has not existed for almost 15 years, and the bus stop has not been removed.

Go-karting. This is already interesting! Today, the guys drove small cars on this race track. I want to offer my daughter a ride here. She wanted to do it last year, but will she want to do it this year?

Friends, goodbye! Until the next walk.

А помнишь фильм "Посемейным обстоятельствам"? Там Евстигнеева мама заставляла рисовать старые московские улицы. Типа дома будут сносить и цены картин вырастет.
