This week's theme (ROUND 218)
SHOW ME A PICTURE OF BIRD FREE THEME

Hi, @nelinoeva. How are you?
Today, I was planning to tell you about the stork I met during my visit to my daughter. But I've changed my mind, and I want to share today's fresh photos of the European Greenfinch.
I want to explain my decision.
The fact is that birds usually stop coming to my feeder after the snow disappears completely, i.e., when the warm season begins. But this year I decided to put a small amount of sunflower seeds in the feeder every morning. I read somewhere that birds need extra food in the spring to hatch their eggs better.

Some time ago, @melinda010100 showed us the yellow birds that flew to her house. And this seemed interesting to me, because I myself noticed a long time ago that there are many yellow birds in nature that I had not noticed before. I've only seen one yellow bird, a Titmouse. I can firmly say that most people in our region can also name only one yellow bird.
The first time a Greenfinch flew to my feeder was about 5 years ago. Or it was even a little earlier. It's a gregarious bird. Sometimes about 20 of these birds could be seen near the feeder. They are funny and interesting to watch. I will say that they are greedy birds. Even now in the summer, when you can find a lot of food around, the Greenfinches can fight for a place in the feeder. It looks like a very fun.

What did he see there? Probably, this guy is looking at the fresh budding buds. But I haven't seen these birds peck at the buds.

Here's what I read about this bird in the article "51 Finches Species":

It was first described scientifically by Carl Linnaeus back in 1758 who noted its bright green feathers along with yellow edges on the wings and tail which make it an unmistakable sight when seen up close or at a distance while flying through open grasslands or wooded areas where they are known to feed on insects and seeds alike making them highly adaptable birds that find food sources easily wherever they go.

Who's a guy and who's not?
Of course, the guy is dressed in bright clothes! The girl bird looks pale.
Yes, I took a lot of photos, I hope I chose the good ones to show them to you friends.

Красивые зеленухи. Суровость их взгляда неспроста, они очень драчливые, особенно на кормушках)))
