Reflection Hunters Contest ~ Shadows, Ducks, Children, Skatepark (14pics)

Yesterday, the Supreme Weather Distributor gave our city a beautiful warm sunny Friday. And it looked like a miracle, because it started raining on Thursday afternoon and continued until Friday morning. And today, on Saturday, the rain started again at 9 o'clock.

I sent this photo to a family group, and my children living in Moscow asked me, "Is it summer again?" It turns out that they are not happy with the summer this year, it rains a lot, and it is cool. Well... It usually happens the other way around - we get colder than theirs.
When I went out for a walk, I didn't plan to take pictures of anything, but I saw that the fountains on the pond were turned on. This is a novelty for our city, and specialists are currently setting up and testing these musical fountains. Maybe it will be cooler than in Dubai, and tourists will come to our city to see the fountain? Only in Dubai is the fountain open all year round, and in our city, the fountains turn on May 1 and close on October 1.

Initially, I planned to call my report "shadows, reflections, and ducks", but after looking at the entire volume of photos I took, I realized that I would remove the captured reflections until the next report. But I left the ducks so that the trapped shadows wouldn't be bored.

This is a traditional feeding place for ducks. In winter, the water does not freeze in this place, and the ducks are waiting for people who throw them bread. Ornithologists and veterinarians say that birds should not be fed bread, especially in winter. I even tried to bring this knowledge to such "kind" women. I explained to them that they kill birds with bread, but they always look at me as if I've lost my mind or I'm talking to them in a non-Russian language. Now I'm not trying to explain this truth anymore.



Here is another location where people feed ducks. This is usually how mothers and grandmothers entertain their children.

I went to the skate park to watch the guys on bikes and scooters.
By the way, if you look at the shadows, you can see that the Sun is already sinking to the horizon. But there are still a lot of kids in the park.
In a week, summer will end, and the children will start a new school year. They will need to go to school, attend extracurricular activities, and do their homework in the evening. But while the sun is shining, the children are having a great time on this playground. It appeared last summer and was immediately liked by fans of extreme cycling and scooters.

This is the moment I've been wanting to capture for a long time, and yesterday I succeeded. To be more precise, these four guys are great at jumping on their scooters. I tried to take similar photos last year, but I've never seen such flights. I hope you friends see this guy's shadow?

Two years ago, there were trees on this place and the park looked like an abandoned wild forest with a lot of garbage and few people.
Now, children are having a lot of fun here, and on my morning walk here, I saw adults doing physical exercises at this workout site.

I hope that the authorities of our city will continue to maintain all this in excellent condition. Although I understand that there are big financial problems in the country now, and State Duma deputies are already saying that projects for the development of regions, the construction of new roads, and the modernization of urban spaces should be curtailed and closed.
