Remembering and celebrating friendship

Hello everyone, I am @aowilson and i want to share memories about my friend with you. Her name is Joy James. We met far back as 2018 and trust me, it has been awesome with her. I know someone may be looking at the age gap which is very much visible but we still matched good friends.

Joy has been a tremendous blessing and a place of refuge for me.
I remember one time in my 400level when I was sick and had no money to treat myself. That day I was supposed to check on my ongoing project work, she had asked to see me, the moment she saw me, she knew I was not well. To cut the long story short, she gave me money for medications. I went to my hostel in tears, this is just one of the many ways that she had come through for me.

Joy is an inspiration, we don't talk random things that don't edify. All our conversations are always edifying and adding value to each other. We always discussed about school, how to succeed there in school and we also shared dreams and aspirations with each other. Of course we do encourage ourselves. We share aspirations of how life after university will be, our plans to alleviate poverty and live a good life.

I remember a day we discussed and we hit the topic of marriage. It was an awesome moment for me because I love to hear matters about marriage. She told me that marriage is not about physical looks, and physical attraction. It is more than that. She told me never to go for looks because looks will fade away but the virtue inside remains. But that doesn't mean I should go and marry an ugly lady😂 she said bluntly that if I marry an ugly person , she would not attend my wedding.
Can you imagine how that?
Well, it just makes me always remember our numerous gossips, I don't know how I was able to connect so much with a female friend with no strings attached, you know what I mean? No erotic emotions involved. I love her actually, I love her like my big sister that she is😌

My last days at university of Jos were spent with her, we grew stronger at the verge of graduation.

And that is what makes me miss her the most. We helped each other do our project research, typing and even submission. We did all this together, I think we wanted to cover up for the many years that we will not see each other again. At this time, it was like our hearts were locked to each other. Oh I miss her.

Joy is an amazing person, till date we talk very well as though we are together, we still share life experiences and of course gossips😂😂
