Heavy Rain Successfully Paralyzes My Region with Natural Disasters//Sumatra is in mourning

good evening all my friends

For the past few days, my area has been constantly drenched by rain, and the incessant rain has brought us grief. Three Indonesian provinces on the island of Sumatra have experienced natural disasters in the form of flash floods, landslides, and even an earthquake that claimed lives.

My friends...
Experts from the Institute of Technology say that these natural disasters occurred due to a combination of extreme rain and the influence of Tropical Cyclone Senyar. And now the situation is starting to improve.

This time, I will share some pictures I took, which provide a glimpse of the current situation in our area, which is starting to improve.
Okay, friends, keep following my blog to see some pictures and short articles from me.

A tense atmosphere has gripped our area for the past few days, and now the situation is starting to improve. I haven't blogged for a week. This was due to network unavailability due to a natural disaster in our area.

Today the weather is a little clearer and community activities are starting to return. Now I'll share some pictures with you from this afternoon when I went to see the situation around me, which is starting to improve. So in the picture above, you can see several sections of road damaged by heavy rain, as well as several sidewalk structures that were destroyed by the torrential rain in my area a few days ago.

This is the situation on the National Highway, which is also a highway. A few days ago, this area was completely paralyzed with water levels reaching over 2 meters. After a few days, the floodwaters still remain. However, the situation is slightly better than a few days ago, and community activities are returning to normal, although not completely restored.

My friends...
A few days ago, our area was in a state of panic. This natural disaster paralyzed several major cities, rendering them inaccessible and without internet access. If you want to see the severity of this natural disaster, you can search on social media by searching #banjirsumatra.
And the effects of this natural disaster, which led to me creating this blog, are still having an impact. I only had internet access for 8 hours. This was due to a total power outage in my area, so now there is no electricity available. However, besides that, internet access is still available at certain times. This is better than a week ago, when we in our area had no internet at all due to a total power outage.

Several low-lying areas are still flooded, leaving residents unable to do anything and forced to seek refuge in designated shelters.

It's been a week since the natural disaster, but its impact is still being felt. I hope you can imagine how dire the situation has been over the past week. You should know that our region is not the worst affected, but rather the opposite. So, how dire is the situation for our brothers and sisters in other areas who have yet to receive aid and are living in darkness? I'm not saying the government isn't playing a role, but I think they were very late in addressing this natural disaster. That's why #prayforsumatra has been trending on TikTok for the past few days, criticizing the government.

This natural disaster not only paralyzed community activities but also caused farmers to fail in their harvest this year. These are some pictures of rice fields I took. I hope you can imagine how dire the situation was a few days ago when the natural disaster struck.

My friends...
The worst part isn't that. According to BNPB data displayed on their official website, the number of missing people in the three provinces affected by this disaster has reached 507. However, the government has yet to declare a national disaster status for the affected areas. This status is crucial at this time, as it can help the central and regional governments prioritize post-disaster recovery. If you'd like to see it, you can here

The breakdown is as follows: in Aceh, 218 people died, and 227 people are missing. In North Sumatra, 301 people died, and 163 are missing.
In West Sumatra, 193 people died, and 117 are missing.

Okay friends, those are some pictures with a short writing from me on this blog. I hope you like what I share and that's enough for now at this meeting. Greetings everyone, see you on my next blog.
