Intat Lintoe Baro is a traditional wedding ceremony in Aceh to accompany and hand over the groom (lintoe baro) to the bride's house (dara baro). This procession aims to strengthen ties between families and involves a series of events such as seumapa (reciprocating pantun) and peusijuek (plain flour) to bless the bride and groom and formalize the marriage according to tradition.

Hello, my friends, this time I'm back in this community to share some images from my daily blog. Tonight, I'm preparing one of my friends for a traditional wedding ceremony in Aceh. This involves escorting the groom (in our language, "Intat lintoe baro") to the bride (dara baroe).

So, keep following my blog to see some of the images I captured while we were preparing the necessary ingredients with my friends that night.

In Aceh, my region, "lintoe baro" is the term for the groom.
The title "lintoe" is only given to a man after undergoing various traditional traditions, one of which is Intat Lintoe Baro.

Well...
Tonight, my friends and I are preparing and having the opportunity to participate in a wedding ceremony like this, including the Intat Lintoe ceremony for our friend's bride and groom.

These are some of the images I captured during that evening. That night, we were preparing several ingredients to ensure the success of the event in the morning. This is the focus of my blog post: our preparations for the success of this traditional Acehnese event, called Intat Lintoe Baro.

All of these materials are decorated with colorful plastic wrap, which is our main task, while the other tasks will be handled by the village women and some of the village elders.

I took a few pictures during the ceremony, including one of my friend decorating a coconut tree. This is a reminder that just as a coconut tree grows, its full potential is also important for the couple to be in this world.

I also managed to use up and attach some colorful fabric to several bottles, and this is one of the pictures I captured.

Not only that, everything will be decorated, including the special vehicle carrying the Lintoe Baroe. It will also be decorated by some of the village elders. This is the purpose of the intat lintoe baroe tradition: to bring a variety of gifts, or in other words, in our language (Peunoewoe), ranging from prayer items, clothing, shoes, bags, toiletries, and cosmetics to the bride.

Some of these materials will be placed in this place, which is shaped like an Acehnese house and the National Monument (Monas), which has become an icon of my country. The Acehnese house represents my provincial home, and the Monas represents the monument in my nation's capital.

The rest will be carried by the young men from the village and the groom's friends.

In short, after that activity, we ate together, and I took a moment to take some pictures. Here are some of them.
