Cot Panglima Valley, a Natural Recreation Area Located on the Bireuen-Takengon National Highway

Located in a hilly area, Cot Panglima Valley is often visited by motorists to rest, take photos, or enjoy the natural scenery. Known for its beautiful hill views, this place is popular as a rest area for passers-by, but its condition is far from safe because it is located in an area prone to landslides.

Good evening, my friends, wherever you are. I hope you are all healthy and happy, allowing you to carry out your daily activities as usual. I hope you all have a wonderful day.

On this occasion, I would like to share some images with this beloved community. A few days ago, my friends and I traveled to Bener Meriah to explore places and take some photos to share with this community. One of the places that caught my attention during our trip was the Cot Panglima Valley, an area that offers beautiful natural scenery and is a feast for the eyes, as well as an area that is nestled within a tropical forest.

So, please continue to follow my blog to see some of its beauty through images and short articles from me.

As I mentioned above, a few days ago, my friends and I traveled to Bener Meriah, a regency in Aceh known for its tropical forests. During our trip, one of the places that caught my attention was the Cot Panglima Valley.

My friends...
The Cot Panglima Valley is a popular stopover for travelers traveling on the Bireuen-Takengon national highway.

Travelers usually rest and refresh in this area, located at kilometer 27 of the Cot Panglima area in Krueng Simpo Village, Juli District, Bireuen Regency, Aceh.

These are some photos I took during my first stop in the area, clearly showing the name of the valley.

The Cot Panglima Valley area is famous for its extraordinary natural beauty, which we can enjoy along the journey which is still in the tropical forest and what attracts the most attention of passers-by is the area that has cliffs that are pleasing to the eye, but when we are below it, it is a little scary.

Despite this, the area is also known for its haunted nature, with its dark history chilling to the core. Furthermore, it's also notorious for frequent natural disasters, and the local government has even designated it a red zone for frequent natural disasters.

This is especially true when rain begins to drench the area, as it's located within a tropical forest. Rain often falls in the Cot Panglima Valley in the afternoon, making the roads extremely slippery and increasing the risk of landslides. If you're in this area, you'll often see banners warning drivers. You'll also see officers patrolling the area every kilometer.

My personal experience in this area also frequently involves landslides, often blocking wide stretches of roadway, making it a primary task for security personnel to monitor every kilometer.
This is one example. If I were to share all the landslide locations, it would likely take much longer and make this blog very complex. So, I've decided to create another blog post about the main causes of landslides in this area and how the local government is handling them in a future blog.

You can see in the image above that the soil in this area is yellow, and the road is also located on a cliff, making landslides highly prone.

However, despite all that, the Cot Panglima Valley area boasts a natural beauty that is a feast for the eyes, with breathtaking views of the landscape. At times, you can even see the mist shrouding the other valleys above the Cot Panglima peak.

However, it was a bit unfortunate when I climbed to the top of Cot Panglima. The first thing I encountered was not the natural beauty, but the unnatural amount of trash, which is something I should be very concerned about.

I believe that despite its stunning natural beauty, that beauty can be tarnished by our human behavior and actions, which are detrimental to both nature and ourselves. This trash is one of the things we must collectively protect to maintain the cleanliness and beauty of the Cot Panglima area.

As I mentioned at the beginning, this area is a tropical forest and prone to landslides.

So, in addition to the eye-pleasing natural beauty, you can also see landslides at several points atop the Cot Panglima peak. This is especially true now that my area is entering the rainy season, so the very high rainfall at the end of this year has made the landslides slightly larger than in previous years.

Okay, friends, those are some pictures and a short article from me about the beauty of the Cot Panglima Valley. I hope you all enjoyed and enjoyed what I shared. I also extend my heartfelt thanks to all of you who have taken the time to view and read my blog to the end.

Please leave your comments, support, and input, which means a lot to me in creating an even better blog in the future.

That's all for now.
Greetings, everyone.
See you in my next blog.
