¡Splinterlands Social Media Challenge! - Void, Tank Heal & Triage are good options against Explosive Magic

En el reto de esta semana quiero hablarles sobre una estrategia que aplico combinando los Splinters Dragón y Agua en partidas donde las condiciones de batalla otorgan la habilidad “Blast”, sólo permiten usar daño mágico, y tienen un límite de maná medio. La cual consiste en tomar ventaja en la batalla combinando las habilidades: “Void”, “Tank Heal”, y “Triage”. Las cartas que permiten realizar esta estrategia son: “Byzantine Kitty”, es de tipo legendario, y pertenece a la edición Untamed. “Djinn Oshannus”, es de tipo legendario, y pertenece a la edición Reward/Chaos Legión. “Void Dragón” y “Spirit Hoarder”, ambas de tipo legendario, y pertenecen a la edición Chaos Legión.

Greetings community! In this week's challenge I want to tell you about a strategy that I apply combining the Dragon and Water Splinters in games where the battle conditions grant the "Blast" ability, only allow the use of magic damage, and have a medium mana limit. This strategy consists of taking advantage in battle by combining the abilities: "Void", "Tank Heal", and "Triage". The cards that allow this strategy are: "Byzantine Kitty", is of legendary type, and belongs to the Untamed edition. "Djinn Oshannus", is of legendary type, and belongs to the Reward/Chaos Legion edition. "Void Dragon" and "Spirit Hoarder", both of legendary type, and belong to the Chaos Legion edition.

La combinación de estas cartas bajo las circunstancias descritas anteriormente, crean una estrategia interesante y efectiva. Byzantine Kitty otorga 2 puntos de velocidad, la habilidad “True Strike”, y da soporte mediante su habilidad “Tank Heal”. Por otra parte, Djinn Oshannus posee buenos atributos, y cuenta con la habilidad “Void”. Void Dragon también posee buenos atributos, y cuenta con las habilidades “Flying” y “Void”, por lo que el daño enemigo mediante la habilidad “Blast” no tendrá tanto impacto. Spirit Hoarder cuenta con la habilidad “Triage”, mediante la cual da soporte a nuestra segunda línea, mitigando aún más el posible impacto del “Blast”. De esta forma, creamos una estrategia que nos permite defendernos tanto del daño mágico enemigo como de los efectos del “Blast”, y mantener una ofensiva promedio.

The combination of these cards under the circumstances described above creates an interesting and effective strategy. Byzantine Kitty grants 2 points of speed, the ability "True Strike", and gives support through its ability "Tank Heal". On the other hand, Djinn Oshannus has good attributes, and has the ability "Void". Void Dragon also has good attributes, and has the "Flying" and "Void" abilities, so enemy damage through the "Blast" ability will not have such an impact. Spirit Hoarder has the "Triage" skill, which supports our second line, further mitigating the possible impact of the "Blast". In this way, we create a strategy that allows us to defend ourselves from both enemy magic damage and the effects of the "Blast", and maintain an average offensive.

¡Pasemos a la batalla! En esta oportunidad les traigo una batalla de un torneo en la liga de Bronce para que observen cómo funciona la estrategia. En la siguiente imagen pueden observar las condiciones de la partida.

Usé a Byzantine Kitty como invocador con el propósito de tomar ventaja más que todo de los 2 puntos de velocidad que otorga, y el soporte mediante su habilidad “Tank Heal”. Djinn Oshannus fue el tanque en esta batalla, ya que cuenta mejores atributos en contraste a Void Dragon. Es por esta razón que decidí usar a Void Dragón en la segunda posición con la finalidad de mitigar los efectos del “Blast” enemigo. Por último, usé a Spirit Hoarder con el propósito de dar soporte mediante su habilidad “Triage” a Void Dragon, y reducir aún más los posibles efectos del “Blast” enemigo. Entonces, como pueden observar, mi estrategia soporta al equipo completo, y hace un daño promedio pero constante.

I used Byzantine Kitty as a summoner in order to take advantage of the 2 points of speed it grants, and the support through its "Tank Heal" ability. Djinn Oshannus was the tank in this battle, since he has better attributes in contrast to Void Dragon. That's why I decided to use Void Dragon in the second position in order to mitigate the effects of the enemy "Blast". Finally, I used Spirit Hoarder in order to support Void Dragon with its "Triage" ability, and further reduce the possible effects of the enemy "Blast". So, as you can see, my strategy supports the whole team, and does average but constant damage.

Para el turno 14 de la ronda 1, River Hellondale sólo contaba con 1 punto de vida. Por otra parte, mi equipo seguía firme, la estrategia estaba funcionando, y poco a poco el enemigo estaba siendo debilitado.

By turn 14 of round 1, River Hellondale had only 1 life point. On the other hand, my team was still going strong, the strategy was working, and little by little the enemy was being weakened.

En el turno 3 de la ronda 2, Djinn Oshannus abatió a River Hellondale mediante el “Blast”. Por lo que el enemigo ya sólo contaba con 1 monstruo. A partir de este punto, la lucha sería lenta y tediosa, ya que mi equipo sólo le hacía 1 punto de daño al tanque enemigo. Sin embargo, el rumbo de la batalla estaba más que definido.

On turn 3 of round 2, Djinn Oshannus killed River Hellondale by "Blast". So the enemy had only 1 monster. From this point on, the fight would be slow and tedious, as my team was only doing 1 point of damage to the enemy tank. However, the direction of the battle was more than defined.

Finalmente, después de mucha lucha psíquica, el Djinn Oshannus enemigo fue abatido en el turno 2 de la ronda 10. ¿Qué hizo la diferencia entre las estrategias? Pues, la principal desventaja fue que el enemigo no incluyó en su estrategia habilidades de soporte como: “Tank Heal” y “Triage”. Además, no contaba con el daño suficiente para abatir a mi tanque. Lo que resultó en una gran desventaja para él. En la siguiente imagen pueden observar el final de la batalla.

Finally, after much psychic struggle, the enemy Djinn Oshannus was defeated on turn 2 of round 10. What made the difference between the strategies? Well, the main disadvantage was that the enemy did not include in its strategy support abilities such as: "Tank Heal" and "Triage". Also, I didn't have enough damage to take down my tank. This resulted in a great disadvantage for him. In the following image you can see the end of the battle.
