Today's post continues on our theme of the McKinley assassination.
We get crimethinc's take on the matter.

Let’s be clear: we don’t endorse shooting, stabbing, bombing, garroting, guillotining, or electrocuting the President of the United States.
Yes, we’ve published a convincing argument that, if there were any justice in this world, “Donald Trump would walk across the desert on a broken ankle, pursued by helicopters and armed men with dogs, before dying of dehydration, terrified and alone, within miles of hospital facilities—as he has forced others to do simply in hopes of rejoining their families.”
But we would argue strenuously against anyone attempting to inflict this fate on him.
On the contrary, we hope Donald Trump will die of natural causes—and the sooner the better, before anyone gets any crazy ideas.
For us, anarchism is not about meting out justice, but making it unnecessary.
Here’s why.
In 1901, the President of the United States was greeting well-wishers at the Pan-American Exposition when he unknowingly offered his hand to an anarchist.
The younger man slapped it aside and shot the president twice in the stomach.
Neither man survived.
President McKinley died of the wound eight days later.
Leon Czolgosz died in an electric chair a month after that.
As some of you may know, I am a retired insurrectionary anarchist.

There is a long history in politics of short circuiting the selection process by simply eliminating those that would control you through the use of force.
In the last presidential selection process in mexico, more than 30 would be tyrants were eliminated by their voting population.
Is that a little harsh?
No.
How do 'they' control you?
In the harshest ways possible.
You should do the same to them.
This is not just all gov't entities, it's all non-consensual interactions.
IF somebody is forcing you to do something that you don't want to do, go insurrectionary on that ass.
IF you can't do that, get your friend to do it for you.
IF you can't do either, welcome to enslavement.
You will never be free until you prepare your mind for it.
Your entire life up to this point has largely been about building a matrix of control in your mind that you can't see, touch, nor control.
You are a battery.

Have you ever noticed that when you say something unorthodox, right away some person assumes the agent smith role and tells you that that can't be?
That is all the evidence you need to see that I am not kidding you, I am not pulling your leg.

I think the more people move up the political ladder, the more they are “forced” to do “evil” things for the “greater good.”
Politics is an inherently dirty business. We see it all the time. Anyone who is “good” usually gets forced out because “the system” runs a candidate against the good people and then “the system” puts a bunch of money behind removing that person.
Political assassinations are also counter intuitive so it’s smart when people are against them. I say they are counter intuitive because it just makes the person in question a martyr.
I can love my country for the good people I share it with, while strongly disliking my country for the things my politicians do.
Best route is to “fix” the political process. How to fix it is not easy because it would need to be fixed by congress… 😅
If I don't have the authority to write my rules down and force them onto you, and you don't have the authority to write your rules down and force them onto others, and neither of us can delegate an authority we don't have, where do the cops get their authority?
I think we are supposed to be delegating that authority to our representatives. Clearly that delegation process is not working right now when our representatives for the most part no longer represent the population.
This is cliché in crypto world but I think most of our problems are due to fiat currency debasement. Most wars are not profitable unless you build houses or make weapons. But we are in a weird spot where they can last forever. When people say that debasement of the currency is a hidden tax I think that’s mostly correct.
The more correct way to describe it is, fiat currency debasement is a wealth transfer. It is a hidden tax on the poor and a boon for people who own assets.
If you are rich in assets, you get more rich through currency debasement because it pumps your assets and then you can spend some of your wealth to keep these politicians in charge.
There is not an “easy” way out of the systematic control we live with today. I think people need to “wake up” first and then we can start fixing things.
'Representives' in a republic are 'elected', but once in office are free to rule as they wish, subject only to recall or impeachment.
They don't represent anybody except the money that put them into office.
Why people need masters is beyond me.
Give me freedom, or we fight.
I think impeachment was meant to be a lot more common in the US. I think there are social reasons it is not.
The majority of people want a simple life with not a lot of stress. This is why leaders can be very valuable, but leaders lose their value when they operate in bad faith and try to become masters.
Humans do tend to behave a lot like sheep. The problem is when a leader turns into a master, most people don’t have the defense mechanisms to stop being sheep.
We need good leaders and less masters. A good leader would want people to be free.
Good people do not want power over others.
Anybody running for office has already failed this test.
No one rules where none obey.™
A politician is different than a leader in most cases.
There are good politicians but they don’t last very long and people don’t know their names.
I think the common theme of disliking politicians is due to survivorship bias because the ones that last a long time tend to be corrupt.
I think realistically politics is an inherently dirty business. Good people can do it and some people last longer than others. But good people can become bad too. A good leader who becomes a politician should eventually quit so they can get away from it and find themselves again, otherwise the get corrupted.

Ergo, they rule by force, because most of us don't need them, and wish they would just go away.
It's worse than that, my friend. People are looking for a magician to solve all their life's problems.
In Argentina, they got tired of voting for magicians, and this time they voted for the executioner who only promised punishment. It's brilliant.
Well politicians really should be just running the complicated stuff and get paid for it. (No insider trading though but that’s a different problem).
I don’t think we even need someone to lead us in the way you are saying. I more tend to think politicians are more like contractors or a plumber. You get a bad one, move on and get a new one.
We just have a problem where the leeches stick around and they are hard to get out.
It all really comes down to rule by force.
As long as I can kill you for my reasons and the crowd doesn't mob me, then you have nothing coming.

We are getting way more in the weeds then I was expecting on the inflation part but I clearly need to refine my talking points 😅
I'd be careful with gold; it's at all-time highs, and there's no guarantee it will keep rising in price forever.
Everyone assumes gold protects against inflation, but given the current situation, it might be overpriced.
The silver boom is explained by the fact that many expect it to mirror the same frenzied rise as gold.
I don't see Bitcoin as a store of value.
Just as some people invest hoping to make a fortune on a price surge, others simply want to protect themselves, and I think that's reflected in the rise of gold and cryptocurrencies that don't allow for tracing funds, like Monero and Zcash.
The problem with these assets is that they inflate when there's fear but deflate when things calm down.
I'd like to see what happens to prices if Trump makes peace with the Russians and the Chinese.
