Is it safe to say that hive is still in the running for betamax chain of the era?

Such high hopes 9 years ago, I thought we would be 'there' by now, but nope.
All those people saying 'Don't quit your day job.' were correct.

Perhaps that has something to do with the blatant dual standards?
Some pigs are more equal than others?

Is it that the code isn't ready for mass adoption, just yet?

Is it the big fish eating 50+% of the newb attractant?

Is it the big fish pushing everybody else out so they can have more?

Maybe it's all the 'toxic' little guys?

Hard to say.
I'll bet on a combination of all of the above, and more.

You, of course, dear reader, must decide for yourself on your own evidence.

We can safely agree that in excess of 2 million accounts have been created and abandoned.
Probably more than 500k real people, that bothered to get keys, have left due to the incentives not aligning with what they had been sold on.

Were they coming here expecting the freedom to say what they pleased?
Many were.

What did they find when they got here?
The one I won't name.
'But, anti, we ran that guy off at the fork to hive.'
That's true, but his shadows continue to fall on our parade.

Maybe they thought they would get a fair shot at building an audience and be rewarded accordingly?
It's not funny how that worked out for most of them.

Not much we can do about the one I won't name, though I do wonder why his spirit persists.

The community that hive has exists separate from those that control the reward pool for their own ends.

Perhaps it's time that we start acting like it?
Or, is it time to let 'them' have their ball and we go do something else?

You are the master of your own destiny.
