The Daily Meme #696! Take a Walk on the Wild Side
What if we have been set up in the hive?
Is this all just a long game to drain the liquidity?
How hard would it be for a number of the devs to decide that they have had quite enough lip from us rabble rousers and they decide to fork their code and leave us to our own devices?
One dev can set up 50 nodes and look like a legit fork in a few hours.
The risk is not zero that several somebodies are already in the process.
It would be a fitting fork of the experiment, if you are seeking suckups for friends.
I really think that it is inevitable that another fork occurs.
A fork where the undesirables are not airdropped stake, just like the fork that brought us here now.
Many years long grudges persisting in the hive.
The code is to the point that competence in maintaining it is getting cheaper.
'Remember all those times you called whales greedy?'
Oh, the thing that is most insidious about this proffered evil plan is that 'they' may be buying all this cheap hive(the folks that they are voting 50% of the rewards to are dropping like it is hot), so that when they make the break from a community that illuminates the math so that some don't have advantage over others to a community that doesn't know any better, keeps their dang mouths shut, and remembers their place in society that they can ensure hive drops to pennies, or less.
'The bread has the butter on the stfu side."
Power does funny thing to people, rarely does it improve them.
Those that seek power are the last ones you want to have it.
You will have to make the choice for yourself, dear reader.
Do you stay with the honestly transparent fork?
Do you go with the fork that will let you keep earning as long as your content doesn't focus on how you are being exploited as exit liquidity?
The hive is dangerously centralized.
5 accounts have >10000mv, openly.
For those of you that are math challenged, that is ~1.9m usd, presuming your buying doesn't push the price.
You will never be a peer in the rewards pool as long as this hurdle is in place.
You will always be being diluted by these 5 accounts voting their power in the pool.
This is just currently powered up hive, lord knows how much is held opaquely on exchanges and in sockpuppets.
Until folks start voting rewards to those that hold, this centralization will not fix itself.
Hell, the math may be that most of us will be dead before the inflation curve flattens it out, I can't say for sure and those that can will likely want to be in the new fork, so they won't say.
Even if this little walk upon the what if trail did actually occur, hive is likely to persist in some form now that the nodes are much cheaper/easier to run.
This may be the only way to escape the exploitation of our commons by those with too much power.
This inequality can be nullified at any moment by the two people controlling these 5 accounts to stop voting in the pool.
Power up your hive.
Are you are tired of paying your masters to bomb children in far away places?
Perhaps it is time you pushed back on that.
A simple way that anybody can do that is to hoard your coins.
The fed buys coins at face value from the mint.
A dollar of change in your pocket is a dollar of value out of the banksters' pockets.
Stop playing in their shell game that allows them to play in the amusement parks from hell and shop in the human grocery stores.
'Aint that fresh?'

I think this platform is killer design wise, but the behavior of the whales always drives me off it - if they fork it wouldn't that be a good thing? - this platform with no whales could have hundreds of the old crew of bloggers back posting in no time flat. Personally I don't care about rewards anyway, I'd just like a good blogging platform
Without the whales the price goes down.
I'm pretty sure it is them supporting the price trying to survive long enough to attract outside investors.
The point of burn is to keep those that already have too much from getting more.
What you take they can't have.
