A month like this one but last year Hive gave me a warm welcome, and although this is a sewing vlog I wanted to remember that moment by making another tutorial of what I do as well as how I started and how much it reminds me of having gotten here, it's incredible that a year has already passed since I joined and it seems like for me only a few days have passed, that means that I am enjoying the process and how much I have liked knowing that there is a place where I can share what I do and what I like.

Continuing with today's vlog I will be sharing with you how I made this beautiful scrunchie with a bow, it's been a while since I got involved in projects making scrunchies 🧵🪡 but I love them so much so I couldn't pass up the opportunity to show you a new scrunchie design with a bow that you are going to love, stay to see the full tutorial.

We will first cut a rectangle 40 cm wide x 10 cm long and another rectangle to make the bow, this one is 33 cm wide x 10 cm long, so before starting to sew we place our pins to prevent the fabric from rolling, then we first locate the bow piece and sew it along the edge, remember that at the tips of each end I made a curve, after I sewed it I left a space unsewn where I will be turning this piece.

Then I sewed that part with a straight stitch to seal it.

I proceed to the next step which is to sew the rectangle along the edge with a straight seam and at the tips I will join it and sew inside and turn it over, in that part we will have a hole which is where we will be inserting with the tape tool the elastic that I cut 18 cm long and pass it through my scrunchie, pull and then remove the two ends of the rubber band.

I finish by making a small knot to adjust the elastic and then in that part we are going to seal the scrunchie with a straight seam so that it doesn't come loose, and then with the piece that we will use to make the bow, what we will do is pass it between the scrunchie and make a small knot and in this way I finish making it.
