Hello to all photography lovers, I hope you are having a great week. My emotional therapy through photography has continued, and I enjoy it more every day, but I haven't had a chance to organize a specific practice to talk about, other than photographs of some personal events.

In general, I have always liked to practice photography as a relaxing hobby in natural settings, with a specific theme within my learning process. For now, I continue to practice with my cell phone camera, adapting to the settings it offers me. The most important thing is to learn a little every day, relax, and enjoy the scenery.

In this practice, which is number 26, I wanted to capture the effect of the sun in the background of foliage or what we know as branches, vegetation, etc., but exclusively when the sun begins to become visible on the horizon. and that phenomenon occurs exactly between 5:50 and 6:15 a.m. In other words, I have to wait a few minutes in the dim light to be able to carry out my practice and take advantage of those minutes to get the photos I want.

This practice took me several days because when the sun rose and disappeared behind the branches of the trees, the practice ended and I had to wait until the next day to continue. Another detail was that if the day dawned rainy, there was no practice, and I had to wait another day. And so, little by little, with patience, I compiled a fairly large number of photos superimposed on the perspective of the sun at dawn, adjusting the camera according to the appropriate lighting that would not damage the effect I was looking for.

This effect, called “sun through foliage,” defines a kind of visual result in which the sun's rays in the distance can filter through the density of branches, leaves, a forest, and even a jungle. The image creates an effect of shadows and light, resulting in larger branches that are usually dark, almost black, or with shadows in their colors, and the tiny sun in the distance, but illuminating the entire canopy.

Honestly, the effect is beautiful. I had seen it in many photographs and wanted to take some photos with the same characteristics. Of course, with a professional camera, there are more settings available to achieve the desired effect between sunlight and foliage, making the latter appear dark yet luminous when viewed above the sun. The ones I'm sharing today are from urban locations in my flatlands hometown, but I'd like to take others in natural landscapes that I may visit in the future.

Hola a todos los amantes de la fotografía, espero que estén pasando una linda semana. Mis terapias emocionales a través de la fotografía han seguido, cada día la disfruto más, pero no había tenido chance de organizar una práctica específica de qué hablar, sino fotografías de algunos eventos personales.

Por lo general, la práctica fotográfica como pasatiempo relajante siempre me ha gustado desarrollarla en sitios naturales, y con una temática definida dentro de mi aprendizaje. Por el momento sigo practicando con la cámara de mi móvil, y me adapto a la configuración que ésta me puede ofrecer, lo más importante es aprender cada día un poco, relajarme y disfrutar el paisaje.

En esta práctica que es la número 26, he querido capturar el efecto del sol al fondo de un follaje o lo que conocemos como ramaje, vegetación, etc., pero exclusivamente cuando el sol comienza a hacerse visible en el horizonte, y ese fenómeno sucede exactamente entre las 5.50 y 6.15 am, o sea, tengo que esperarlo unos minutos en medio de la penumbra para poder desarrollar mi práctica, y aprovechar esos minutos para lograr las fotos deseadas.

Esta práctica me llevó varios días porque cuando ya el sol se elevaba, y perdía su posición detrás de las ramas de los árboles, la práctica culminaba y había que esperar al día siguiente para continuar. Otro detalle era, que si el día amanecía lluvioso, no había práctica, a seguir esperando otro día. Y así poco a poco, con paciencia, fui recopilando un número bastante amplio de fotos superpuestas en la perspectiva del sol durante el alba, graduando la cámara según la iluminación adecuada que no me dañara el efecto que yo buscaba.

Este efecto llamado "Sol a través del follaje", define una especie de resultado visual en el que los rayos del sol a lo lejos, pueden filtrarse en medio de la densidad de las ramas, hojas, un bosque, y hasta una selva. En la imagen se crea un efecto de sombras y luces, resultando el ramaje de mayor tamaño, por lo general oscuro, casi negro, o con sombras en sus colores, y el sol diminuto a lo lejos, pero iluminando toda la enramada.

Sinceramente, el efecto es hermoso, lo había visto en muchas fotografías y quise lograr algunas fotos con las mismas características. Por supuesto en una cámara profesional, la configuración es más amplia para poder alcanzar el efecto deseado entre la luz solar y el follaje, logrando que este último tenga un aspecto oscuro y a la vez luminoso, al visualizarse por encima del sol. Las que comparto hoy, son de sitios urbanos de mi localidad llanera, pero quisiera hacer otras en otros paisajes naturales que pueda visitar más adelante.
