“Our Joyful Hike and Temple Visit: Discovering Broga Hill and Malaysia’s Tallest Monkey God”

Last Sunday, we went to Broga Hill. The hike was so much fun and a bit of tiring, but it was worth it. My daughter and my friend “Rochelle” were so excited. Especially when they saw many animal statues—dragons, tigers, chickens, and more. She ran, laughed, and pointed at them. Watching her happy made me very happy too. All my tiredness went away when I saw her happiness. Her laugh made me smile too. That day, seeing her enjoy so much made the trip very special. After that, we visited the Wishing Garden. It’s a small garden where people can write their wishes on little wooden plaques and hang them the trees. My daughter picked a plaque and whispered her wish
She was very serious and careful. I also made a wish, and we felt really happy in that calm garden full of hope. Next, we went to Sak Dato Temple. This temple is famous. It has Malaysia’s tallest Monkey God statue, Sun Wukong. The temple is over 140 years old. Long ago, Chinese settlers built it as a small shrine for Sak Man, a miner whom people believed could protect the village. Today, it’s a very important place for worship and also a popular spot to visit. We crossed a wobbly bridge. My daughter held my hand. Then we hiked to uphill and saw the view. And I could see green hills all around on top
The Monkey God statue was very tall and super amazing. The prayer hall at the top was quiet and peaceful. On the way down, we explored the Chinese garden on the first level of the temple. The garden was very pretty. The place had a small pond with colorful fish, magical creature statues, a red dragon-carved gate, and an old tree with wooden wishing plaques. My daughter hung another plaque and laughed happily. By the end of the day, we were tired pero sobrang happy. Broga Hill and Sak Dato Temple gave us a lot of fun and happy memories. Walking, seeing the statues, making wishes, at climbing the hill with my daughter made me feel really lucky. Her joy and excitement made the day so special. Broga Hill and Sak Dato Temple are open for visitors. You can go there with your family and spend time outside.

I think this is a great place for young children to spend time and have fun. Your explanation was very nice.
I appreciate your kind words. I’m happy the explanation was clear, and I completely agree—it’s an excellent environment for children to have fun.”
I love how little and simple things in life like a painted cement statue of an animal can bring so much joy to a child. cute.
So true—reminds me how much joy we can find in simple things if we look at them the same way."
I can imagine your daughter running around, laughing and pointing at all the animal statues. Kids really do have a way of making every moment brighter.😍
Haha yes! Kids really are little sparks of happiness. I can’t wait to take her there again!"
