“Celebrating 70 Wonderful Years of Uncle Laz: A simple Birthday Bash, with Love, Laughter, and of course with Cold Beer!”

Hello, Beer lovers, this event happened last Saturday. And sorry that now only I have time to share this event with you, and we celebrated Uncle Laz’s 70th birthday at my in-laws’ house, we had a simple party for him, just a small dinner with family, but it was full of love and joy. Uncle Laz is more than just an uncle; he’s like a second father to me, too. He’s also my godfather when I converted to Christianity. Usually, we had our family dinner every Saturday and just nice our uncle's birthday as well, we take the opportunity to celebrate and cut cake for him, and the beer of course is present. We were supposed to do a big party for him, but they decided to postpone due to they are sister just passed away. Even though we still have to celebrate a life and its 70th year. Uncle Laz is still so active and full of life. He loves to play with the kids, tease them, and laugh with them. You’d never guess his age just by watching him. The kids adore him, and honestly, they seemed more excited than anyone to blow out the birthday candles.

The dinner was good and simple. We had some good home-cooked food, my mother-in-law and sister-in-law cooked, and I also brought lumpiang shanghai. we enjoy our food, have some laughs, like always, and some cold beers to go along with it. Beer is kind of a tradition in our family, especially for special moments like this. We chose Carlsberg, which is a favorite for both Uncle Laz and me. This beer is good for any occasion, especially when you’re sitting around the dining table with family every weekend, telling stories and enjoying the moment. It’s not about drinking to get drunk, it’s more share with something familiar and comforting with the family. Anyway, one thing I like about this beer, it’s got a slight bitterness, a bit of sweetness, and it’s also smooth and easy to drink. One of the cutest moments of the night was when the cake came out. We had a small chocolate cake with candles, and as soon as we lit them, all the kids gathered around Uncle Laz. You could see how excited they were. And they all helped him blow out the candles while he laughed and smiled with joy. He didn’t mind sharing that moment with them. I think it made him even happier.








When the cake is sliced for everyone, all the kids are excited to have they are slice of cake. And we all sat around the table having our cake as our dessert, and talked while sipping our beers and telling stories. Some of us shared memories of past birthdays, and others just talked about life. Uncle Laz told some funny stories and jokes from his youth. We're all laughing because of his jokes. That’s what made this birthday so meaningful. Uncle Laz may not have his kids, but he has a big place in our family and our hearts. He can see how much our kids love him and how close we all are to him. according to my husband, Uncle Laz is not just an uncle to them, as all cousins growing up, he is a friend and buddy. Now that he is aging, we are all here for him and our children his the favorite grandad uncle. Even not his birthday or a weekend, my husband and all the cousins look after him once a week, each cousin will take him to have some bonding. Uncle Laz likes to sit in the Chinese food court and have dinner and a few Carlsberg beers. So he never feels alone, and we are glad we could celebrate his special 70th birthday together, with good food, cold beer, and the family who matter most.
