BeerSaturday Challenge Week 402: ”The 1664 Rose Kronenbourg: A Quick Date to Refresh the Early Night”
Hello, beer lovers. Every Saturday or Friday, we try to go out and have some refreshing drinks to unwind. This evening, we decided to go to the nearest place, its just a 5-minute walk away from our house. My husband asked me if I wanted to go to the restaurant. The name is Brew House restaurant. He said he got a 10-glass voucher for beer since it is very near to our house and convenient. We decided to have a drink for free, then we just get a small bite for the go for beer, we just need to choose what beer we want, he chose normal draft 1664 kronenbourg and I choose rose bottle 1664 kronenbourg. Since the beer is sweet, I try to pair it with dessert cheese burn cake, and not bad at all, perfect.”

Then we ordered some oysters from the new menu. While waiting, he got some calls again, and I was busy acting cute, hahaha. When the waiter arrived to serve the drinks, I was feeling so thirsty I can’t wait to have my first sip. We raised our glasses and drank. I drink slowly, trying to focus on the moment, but my mind kept wandering to the dishes that still needed to be cleaned at home, the kids’ but good because no school the next day. Life had a way of piling up, making moments like these rare. My husband, my partner, the man I spent over a decade with. He was dressed casually, but he was the only man effortlessly handsome from my perspective. It was a smile that made my heart skip a beat, the same smile he had given me on our very first date back in 2014, hehehe.. and the smile that still made me feel like the most important person in the world.
This kind of bonding is enough to remind us that moments like this are worth savoring and should continue to make up the relationship. The waiter brought the second bottle and a new glass. My first glass finished so fast, and my husband had to go along with my glasses, and we took a sip. This 1664 rose beer is light and fruity with raspberry and citrus taste, and the sweetness of the fruit blends well with a crisp character. I could feel the weight of the day, the constant hustle, begin to slip away as the quiet conversation between us grew warmer. I told him, “This is nice. we must do this Just you and me.” And he replied and agreed, He reached over and took my hand across the table. “I know. I think we both needed this. A little time to remember why we fell in love in the first place.”
The small things. The quiet moments. The early nights talking about nothing and everything.” We start laughed about old memories, and swapped stories about the kids, who were surely causing chaos back home with the sitter. As the night got deeper, more people came, and the music got nicer. My husband said, “I don’t know if we do this enough. Take a break from everything. From the kids, from responsibilities, well, life. But when we do, I remember how much I love you.”My 40-year-old heart fluttered, and of course, I gave him a smiled, my eyes misting over a little. “I love you too. I’m so glad we did this tonight.” My husband smiled. “We’ll do it again,” he promised. “Soon. But for now, let’s just enjoy this moment.” The night was not long, but it was enough for a quick date that we had to refresh our spirits and reminded us that sometimes, we just need a short break. All it takes is a glass of beer and a few quiet moments to reconnect. Anyway, the 1664 Rose Kronenbourg was perfect to match with seafood like oysters or prawns, but my husband loves oysters, so that's the choice to pair with our beer. So, too, was our relationship a mix of old memories and new moments, always evolving, always worth savoring. Anyway, I finished four bottles and don’t realize talking while drinking and the beer really good, its better than Hoegaarden I think so??? Or is just my taste today hahahahaah, whatever.
Cheers! 🍻
Good evening, for sure! I know Kronenberg beers, but I prefer Citra. This Rose looks interesting. They don't offer it here.
