🌸 This made me feel zen 🌸
I used to be a lot more active during the Steem days, but these days I pretty much do the same as you, I look at what the people I follow are doing... upvote (also usually 100% cause I'm back to being a tiny account), comment (that I do a lot), reblog (almost none)... This isn't how I'd like to participate on the platform, but this is all I been able to do between the hours of work and life.
Love your condominium analogy, it IS SO! I like to tell my neighbors that i notices the new rug they placed (a post), Sometimes I do want to party with some of the more social neighbors from another floor, but I feel like that requires a commitment that I'm not yet ready for.
I'm so glad you enjoyed the post and took the time to read it. I joined Hive many years ago, and at first, it was incredibly hard to find my place here. I felt completely lost and so alone, just like in a huge city apartment block full of people, where someone dies and no one notices until a month later.
There was also the Discord aspect as in Steem, which you mentioned. I’ve had some bad experiences online, especially on other interactive or paid social platforms, and I didn’t want to go through that again.
I tried different paths here, but they all led me away from who I really am. Sometimes I stopped posting for long periods. But now I’ve started again, in my own way. It feels like I’ve moved to a smaller apartment building, and that’s just fine. I can once again hear the rhythm of the keyboard matching the beat of my heart.
I took a peek at your profile. You wrote so beautifully and with such depth. It feels like we share something special. If you ever feel like coming back, know that my door is open.

Awww thank you! Likewise!
I have so much that I still plan to write, and you're inspiring me to just not overthink it, and just do it.
I know what you mean about Discord, there is a lot of friction that happens once you start 'visiting peoples apartments' ;) Sometimes its better to just meet in the hallway.
I hope to see more of your writing as well. I'm a fan of analogies and yours was right on point! I glad to see the much deserved appreciation of your attitude and writing.
