Otras historias y miradas de la vida

Cada día que pasa, me gusta más escribir sobre diferentes situaciones, construyendo historias y creando espacios para la opinión. En esta oportunidad, en historias de ecos de ciudad, les traigo el siguiente caso para la reflexión, siempre viéndolo desde el amor y el aprendizaje.

Hoy fue un día diferente a los demás, al salir de casa el clima no se sentía tan frío, y el sol estaba presente con mayor intensidad, por ello todo se veía diferente y aunque camino por la misma ruta de todos los días, hoy no estuvo nublado, ni gris, incluso las personas se veían más alegres y calmadas. ¡Qué increíble poder sentir la energía grandiosa del sol y apreciar la belleza de los colores verdes de las plantas! Todo se podía sentir diferente y especial.

Pasado el tiempo, llega la hora de almuerzo y, como el día estaba tan lindo, decidí salir de la oficina y buscar un lugar para comer. Por ello me acerqué a un restaurante que ya conozco y me gusta su menú. Mientras disfrutaba de mi comida, vi acercarse a una pareja. El caballero muy amablemente ayuda con el asiento a su pareja y luego procede él a sentarse. Luego de tanta amabilidad, veo que la chica saca su teléfono de su cartera y comienza a escribir, pude ver que él hablaba con ella del lugar, pero no recibía respuesta, recuerdo que para ese momento pensé, que yo no tenía con quien hablar porque estaba comiendo sola, pero este señor estaba acompañado y se veía más solo de lo que yo podía estar.

Pasado unos minutos, logré escuchar, como él le decía, ¿seguirás trabajando en tu teléfono? Ya es hora de almorzar, aquellas palabras solo quedaron perdidas, porque ni una respuesta recibió. Lo que me llevó a pensar, en cuánto daño podemos hacer cuando no sabemos escuchar y no le damos importancia a nuestro presente.

Llegué a sentir pena por ese hombre, y la reflexión va enfocada, en la importancia de dar tiempo y atención de calidad a otros. Nunca se sabe lo que puede pasar mañana y de cuánto podemos arrepentirnos por dejar pasar la oportunidad de compartir con ese ser que solo desea acompañarnos y ser escuchado.

With each passing day, I enjoy writing more about different situations, constructing stories and creating spaces for opinions. This time, in Stories of City Echoes, I bring you the following case for reflection, always viewing it from a place of love and learning.

Today was a day unlike any other. When I left home, the weather didn't feel as cold, and the sun was more intense. Because of this, everything looked different. Even though I walk the same route as every day, today wasn't cloudy or gray; even the people seemed happier and calmer. How incredible it was to be able to feel the sun's magnificent energy and appreciate the beauty of the green colors of the plants! Everything felt different and special.

As time passed, lunchtime arrived, and since the day was so beautiful, I decided to leave the office and look for a place to eat. So I went to a restaurant I already knew and liked their menu. While I was enjoying my meal, I saw a couple approaching. The gentleman very kindly helped his partner with a seat and then sat down himself. After such kindness, I saw the girl take her phone out of her purse and start typing. I could see him talking to her about the place, but she wasn't getting a response. I remember thinking at that moment that I had no one to talk to because I was eating alone, but this man had someone else with him and looked lonelier than I could possibly be.

After a few minutes, I managed to hear him say, "Will you keep working on your phone? It's time for lunch." Those words just fell into place, because he didn't even get a response. Which led me to think about how much harm we can do when we don't know how to listen and don't give importance to our present.

I felt sorry for that man, and my reflection is focused on the importance of giving quality time and attention to others. You never know what might happen tomorrow, and how much we might regret missing the opportunity to share with someone who only wants to be with us and be heard.
