Recordar es vivir Parte IV: trekking cascada chorreron

¡Hola amigos! Como les comenté desde la primera redacción de esta serie de post qué se llaman “recordar es vivir”, yo siempre he sido super aventurera y afortunadamente Dios me ha dado la dicha de tener desde infancia amigos súper valiosos que me inspiran a ser cada día mejor y sumarle a mi vida siempre las mejores y más sanas aventuras. Hoy en día el mejor de esos amigos se convirtió en mi compañero de vida, mi esposo, pero antes de incluso pensar en tener una relación vivimos excelentes momentos de amistad con nuestro grupo de amigos en común que gracias a Dios aún conservamos. Hoy les cuento sobre una excursión que hicimos en esos años de soltería y cuando estábamos en nuestro mejor momento físico, con la dicha de los 20 encima jajaja haciendo trekking de montaña para conocer la cascada Chorreron.

Hello friends! As I told you since the first writing of this series of posts called “to remember is to live”, I have always been super adventurous and fortunately God has given me the joy of having since childhood super valuable friends who inspire me to be better every day and always add to my life the best and healthiest adventures. Today the best of those friends became my life partner, my husband, but before even thinking about having a relationship we lived excellent moments of friendship with our group of friends in common that thank God we still have. Today I tell you about an excursion we did in those years of bachelorhood and when we were in our best physical moment, with the joy of being 20 on top of us hahaha doing mountain trekking to know the Chorreron waterfall.

María Celeste siempre era la mente maestra de todas estas salidas y nosotros como nos encantaban todas, nunca decíamos que no. En esta oportunidad ella descubrió una agencia de ecoturismo que hacía excursiones dentro de nuestro propio Estado a precios súper accesibles para nosotros, unos estudiantes universitarios. Con ellos hicimos varias excursiones, pero la mejor de todas sin duda fue esta.

Maria Celeste was always the mastermind of all these outings and we loved all of them, so we never said no. We were always looking forward to them. This time she discovered an ecotourism agency that made excursions within our own state at very affordable prices for us, university students. We went on several excursions with them, but the best of all was undoubtedly this one.

Para ese entonces, todos éramos súper atletas, yo hacía dos horas de entrenamiento diario, una hora de funcionales y otra de calistenia. Actualmente sigo ejercitándome, pero no se imaginan cuanto extraño tener el tiempo y la disciplina que tenía para ese entonces, pues logre mi mejor condición física hasta ahora. Sin embargo, sé que en cualquier momento la volveré a retomar e incluso a superar 💪🏽🙏🏽, pero esa condición que para ese entonces me facilitó demasiado esta aventura al igual que se lo facilitó a José Gregorio y a María celeste que también eran unos veinteañeros en sus mejores momentos.

Back then, we were all super athletes, I did two hours of training a day, one hour of functional and one hour of calisthenics. Nowadays I still work out, but you can't imagine how much I miss having the time and discipline I had back then, since I achieved my best physical condition so far. However, I know that at any moment I will return to it and even overcome 💪🏽🙏🏽, but that condition that at that time made this adventure much easier for me as it did for José Gregorio and María Celeste who were also in their twenties in their best moments.

Recuerdo que fue un día sábado y el bus que nos llevaría a nosotros y a todo el resto del grupo de excursión hasta el sitio en San Agustín, municipio Caripe para realizar esta aventura, salía a las 6 a. m. del punto de encuentro. Allí, como buenos aventureros, estábamos para no perdernos nada.

I remember it was a Saturday and the bus that would take us and the rest of the excursion group to the site in San Agustín, municipality of Caripe to carry out this adventure, left at 6 a.m. from the meeting point. There, as good adventurers, we were there not to miss anything.

Llegamos al lugar de recepción, una pequeña finca frente al camino donde íbamos a realizar el trekking, allí nos dieron hidratación y las indicaciones, pues se trataba de un recorrido de 3 horas de subida a una montaña, conocer la cascada y luego otras 3 horas de regreso por el mismo camino montañoso.

We arrived at the reception place, a small farm in front of the road where we were going to do the trekking, where we were given hydration and directions, as it was a 3 hour trek up a mountain, meet the waterfall and then another 3 hours back along the same mountain road.

A nuestro grupo se le sumó una compañera de trabajo de María celeste que venía del estado Zulia y que nunca había hecho algo igual. Con ella tuvimos que estar pendiente porque varias veces en el camino se nos quiso desmayar jajaja.

Our group was joined by a co-worker of Maria Celeste who came from the state of Zulia and had never done anything like this before. We had to keep an eye on her because several times on the way she wanted to faint hahaha.

Cada paso que dábamos nos iba guiando más y más a la grandeza de Dios dentro de la naturaleza, ir solos hubiese sido imposible y realmente un peligro pero íbamos guiados por los mejores en el tema y personas que conocían el camino como la palma de su mano. Finalmente luego de un recorrido bastante largo y agotador llegamos al punto de recarga energética que jamás imaginé iba a ser tan majestuoso. Cuando yo vi frente a mi esa grandeza quedé sin palabras y aunque para ese entonces era sequía y la cascada no estaba en su máximo caudal (gracias a Dios porque si no hubiese sido casi imposible llegar) era tan alta que no alcanzamos a poder capturar con nuestras cámaras el final de la montaña donde iniciaba ella y nosotros nos encontrábamos en su base.

Each step we took was leading us more and more to the greatness of God within nature, going alone would have been impossible and really dangerous but we were guided by the best in the field and people who knew the way like the back of their hand. Finally after a long and tiring journey we arrived at the energy recharge point that I never imagined would be so majestic. When I saw in front of me that greatness I was speechless and although by then it was drought and the waterfall was not at its maximum flow (thank God because if not it would have been almost impossible to get there) it was so high that we could not capture with our cameras the end of the mountain where it began and we were at its base.

De verdad que esta fue una de las mejores experiencias que he tenido la oportunidad de vivir y mira que tengo muchas buenas, pero cada rincón que fuimos atravesando de naturaleza, cada lugar floreado y al finalizar conseguirnos con esa grandeza fue algo indescriptible y que espero que todos pudieran llevar a vivir, ese fue uno de mis primeras aventuras de montaña. Ya hoy en día he realizado otras y antes mis aventuras habían sido más de playa y mar pero esa siempre será muy especial para mi.

Truly this was one of the best experiences I have had the opportunity to live and I have many good ones, but every corner that we went through nature, every flowery place and at the end to get us with that greatness was something indescribable and I hope that everyone could take to live, that was one of my first mountain adventures. Already today I have done others and before my adventures had been more beach and sea but that one will always be very special to me.
