Alright, folks, let me tell you somethingânobody does trade better than me, okay? Iâm like Christopher Columbus, but with better hair and more luxurious properties. Now, about these tariffsâtremendous tariffs, the bestâweâre putting them on all countries around the world because, frankly, Americaâs been ripped off for too long. Too long! China, Mexico, Canada, you name itâtheyâve been taking our jobs, stealing our wealth, and laughing all the way to the bank. Not anymore. Weâre making America great again, and that means fair trade, strong trade, the kind of trade that puts American workers first.
Now, Europeâbeautiful place, love the golf courses, fantastic wineâbut are they an ally? I donât know, folks, I donât know. Theyâre over there with NATO, not paying their fair shareâ2% of GDP, thatâs the deal, and so many of them arenât even close! I said to them, âLook, youâve got to pay up, or weâre not protecting you from, you know, whoever.â And then they act shockedâshocked! Meanwhile, theyâre flooding our markets with their cars, their steel, their fancy cheeses, and we get nothing but a pat on the back and some nice words. Thatâs not an ally, thatâs a competitor. Weâre renegotiating everythingâeverything!âbecause if they want access to the greatest market in the world, the U.S.A., theyâve got to play by my rules. Tough, smart, America First rules.
So, tariffs? Theyâre a beautiful tool, the best tool.
They bring jobs back, they make other countries respect us, and they show the world that Donald J. Trump doesnât mess around. Europe can still be a friend, sure, but theyâve got to step upâbig leagueâor theyâre just another name on the tariff list. Believe me!
